Yakisoba pomeni dobesedno "pražena ajda" in predstavlja enega japonskih načinov priprave praženih rezancev. Rezance prepražimo s koščki svinjine, zelenjave (zelje, čebula, korenje) ter začinimo z yakisoba omako, soljo in poprom. Rezance tradicionalno postrežemo z aonori (mleta morska trava), beni shoga (natrgan vloženi ingver), katsuobushi (ribji kosmiči) ter majonezo. Yakisoba omako lahko uporabimo torej pri praženju rezancev, pa tudi riža in zelenjave.
