CONTENT OF THE SEMINAR:
Lyoba Jenche says: "the world of folk song is the memory of the life of ancestors in the movement of melody and rhythms of life. Deep in the heart it touches us, because this song is the soul of the nation, it is an archetypal memory of the humanity of ourselves. The path of our ancestors. Civilization, with the age of industrialization, discarded mythology and folk songs as old junk. But the awareness of the deep meaning of folk tradition is awakening again. We listen to the past anew, in which we seek the seeds of wisdom for the future. It seems that today we miss this very strength of hers, the power of community life.
After a successful seminar of folk ballads, we invite you to a new experience of singing folk songs.
Singing, as the most direct expression of our soul and the simplest way to establish contact with the excess, retreats from spontaneous general common or folk use among choirs, organized groups of folk song singers, to professional use. What was that, direct and pure in spontaneous use, that today man could renew in order to re-establish authenticity with himself and the community? We will devote ourselves to a selection of folk songs of adoration of the coming spring and preparation for the greatest holiday Resurrection. In the spring rituals, the old world tradition is strongly intertwined with the Christian faith. The sun is gaining strength, nature begins to blossom and turn green, love arises, joy spreads outward, and man is again in the field, in nature. In March, when the equinox occurs, or in the vernacular 'imohency', mother's day follows, celebrating the Annunciation of Mary, which follows the pre-Christian veneration of the Great Mother of all gods. This is followed shortly after by the rites of Holy Week as a time of difficult trials, suffering and then the resurrection of Christ as a metaphor for the whole of human development.
A love and playful children's song will warm us up and get to know the basic folk troglas, and then we will sing ritual songs with a selection mainly from Dolenjska, Styria and Bela Krajina.
Singing and narrating with your own voice is a great gift of life, which our ancestors lived fully through common, folk singing, and with the age of digitalization and living with screens, its preservation will be an even greater challenge than before or the only refuge to naturalness and 'normality'.
It is folk songs, games and dances that carry the code of the eternal rhythm of a person's connection with naturalness and at the same time morality. They set values in the community. In each province, within the community, a person tuned himself to a certain melody and rhythm and maintained them in a unique way, which also marked the territory, ethnic area of a certain community and its connection. Uniqueness, however, is the only one that can counter global uniformity.
The Seminar is organized by JSKD OI Krsko, with the support of the music school Krsko, the municipality of Krsko and the municipality of Kostanjevica na Krki.

VSEBINA SEMINARJA:
Ljoba Jenče pravi: »Svet ljudske pesmi je spomin življenja prednikov v gibalu melodije in ritmov življenja.
Prav ljudska pesem, igre in plesi nosijo kodo večnega ritma človekove povezave z naravnostjo in obenem nravnostjo. So uravnavale vrednote v skupnosti.
