During Wednesday 16. 9. and Saturday 19. 9. 2026 children among 8. and 15. Leto is invited to a stop animation workshop with Melita Sandrina and Domno Sajovic entitled plasticine.
At the workshop, we will create a short animated film using the stop animation technique. We will explore plasticine as a material and deal with it in an interesting and creative way. We will play with a three-dimensional shape, which we will transform into a moving two-dimensional world by forming, rolling, cutting and mixing. Since this year's edition of the festival is dedicated to the topic of "dead media", the workshop will use animation techniques that may be forgotten, old or unusual. The aim of the workshop is to get to know plasticine as a material and to recognize its diverse potential for animation and creation, while at the same time the participants will learn about the process of making an animated film.
The workshop will be led by Melita Sandrin and Domen Sajovic, master students of animation at the Academy of arts of the University of Nova Gorica.
A short animated film will be shown at the end of the workshop at the official closing of the 16. StopTrik International Film Festival, on Sunday, 27. 9. 2026, in the Vetrinjski Dvor.

she is a second-year master's student at the Academy of Arts at the University of Nova Gorica. Even before studying, she learned about animation and film at The Animation film School in Chakovac (Shaf). He currently researches various techniques and mediums of animation, but mostly deals with analog techniques. In addition to animation, she also likes to intervene in the fields of video film, photography and design.
he is a master's student in animation at the Academy of Arts at the University of Nova Gorica, where he also completed his undergraduate studies in digital arts and practices. Before deciding to study at the Academy, in his free time he was often engaged in animation and film as an amateur. He works mostly in the stop-motion puppet technique, but he also likes to experiment with other animation techniques. At the academy, he completed his first puppet animated film The Last Laugh (2022), and is currently working on his master's film entitled The Salamander.
The workshop is held on 16. StopTrik International Film Festival, which is dedicated to stop animation. The producer of the festival is the Magdalenska network Maribor Bakery, the workshop is organized in cooperation with the Maribor Puppet Theatre.
Med sredo 16. 9. in soboto 19. 9. 2026 otroke med 8. in 15. letom vabimo na delavnico stop animacije z Melito Sandrino in Domnom Sajovicem z naslovom Plastelin.
Na delavnici bomo v tehniki stop animacije ustvarile_i kratek animirani film. Raziskovali_e bomo plastelin kot material in se z njim spoprijeli_e na zanimiv in ustvarjalen način. Igrali_e se bomo s trodimenzionalno obliko, ki jo bomo z oblikovanjem, valjanjem, rezanjem in mešanjem spremenili_e v premikajoči se dvodimenzionalni svet. Ker je letošnja edicija festivala posvečena temi »mrtvih medijev«, bomo na delavnici uporabljali_e animacijske tehnike, ki so morda pozabljene, stare ali pa nenavadne. Cilj delavnice je spoznati plastelin kot material in v njem prepoznati raznolik potencial za animacijo in ustvarjanje, hkrati pa bodo udeleženci_ke spoznali proces izdelave animiranega filma.
Delavnico bosta vodila Melita Sandrin in Domen Sajovic, magistrska študenta animacije na Akademiji umetnosti Univerze v Novi Gorici.
Kratek animirani film bo po koncu delavnice prikazan na uradnem zaključku 16. mednarodnega filmskega festivala StopTrik, v nedeljo, 27. 9. 2026, v Vetrinjskem dvoru.

je študentka drugega letnika magistrskega študija na Akademiji umetnosti na Univerzi v Novi Gorici. Že pred študijem se je učila o animaciji in filmu v Šoli za animirani film v Čakovcu (ŠAF). Trenutno raziskuje različne tehnike in medije animacije, vendar se večinoma ukvarja z analognimi tehnikami. Poleg animacije rada posega tudi v področja video filma, fotografije in oblikovanja.
je magistrski študent animacije na Akademiji umetnosti na Univerzi v Novi Gorici, kjer je dokončal tudi dodiplomski študij digitalnih umetnosti in praks. Preden se je odločil za študij na akademiji, se je v prostem času pogosto ljubiteljsko ukvarjal z animacijo in filmom. Največ ustvarja v stop-motion lutkovni tehniki, vendar zelo rad eksperimentira tudi z drugimi animacijskimi tehnikami. Na akademiji je dokončal svoj prvi lutkovni animirani film Zadnji smeh (2022), trenutno pa dela na svojem magistrskem filmu z naslovom Močerad.
Delavnica poteka v okviru 16. mednarodnega filmskega festivala StopTrik, ki je posvečen stop animaciji. Producent festivala je Pekarna Magdalenske mreže Maribor, delavnico organiziramo v sodelovanju z Lutkovnim gledališčem Maribor.
