In the focus of the February Music subscription are prominent Slovenian musicians, violinist Prof. Vasily Melnikov and harpsichordist Eva Dolinsek. Vasily Meljnikov is one of the most important Slovenian violinists and pedagogues of recent decades. He studied at the Minsk Academy of music with the legendary professor Olga Parhomenko, a pupil of the great David Ojstrakh. After arriving in Slovenia in 1990, he influenced several generations of Slovenian violinists with exceptional dedication. As a full professor at the Ul Academy of music, he was a long-time head of the string Department, mentor of the Academy Symphony Orchestra and concertmaster of the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. For his artistic and pedagogical achievements, he received the Betett prize and the golden plaque of the University of Ljubljana.
Along with him , Eva Dolinsek, one of the most active Slovenian specialists in early music, will take to the grand stage of novogorisk. After completing her master's degree with honors at the Academy of music in Ljubljana, the author of two CDs and an active researcher of baroque literature has established herself as a soloist and chamber musician at many important festivals in Slovenia and abroad. Together with violinist Meljnikov, they will recreate 10 pieces by Milko Lazar. In the interweaving of the creative and creative energies required by the interpretation of this work, they will present a unique example of the Union of old instruments in modern musical expression.

V žarišču februarskega glasbenega abonmaja sta ugledna slovenska glasbenika, violinist prof. Vasilij Meljnikov in čembalistka Eva Dolinšek. Vasilij Meljnikov je eden najpomembnejših slovenskih violinistov in pedagogov zadnjih desetletij. Študiral je na Glasbeni akademiji v Minsku pri legendarni profesorici Olgi Parhomenko, učenki velikega Davida Ojstraha. Po prihodu v Slovenijo leta 1990 je z izjemno predanostjo vplival na več generacij slovenskih violinistov. Kot redni profesor na Akademiji za glasbo UL je bil dolgoletni predstojnik Oddelka za godala, mentor simfoničnega orkestra akademije ter koncertni mojster Simfoničnega orkestra RTV Slovenije. Za svoje umetniške in pedagoške dosežke je prejel Betettovo nagrado in zlato plaketo Univerze v Ljubljani.
Ob njem bo na novogoriški veliki oder stopila domačemu občinstvu dobro poznana Eva Dolinšek , ena najdejavnejših slovenskih specialistk za staro glasbo. Po z odliko zaključenem magistrskem študiju na Akademiji za glasbo v Ljubljani se je avtorica dveh zgoščenk in aktivna raziskovalka baročne literature uveljavila kot solistka in komorna glasbenica na številnih pomembnih festivalih v Sloveniji in tujini. Skupaj z violinistom Meljnikovom bosta poustvarila 10 Pieces Milka Lazarja. V prepletanju ustvarjalne in poustvarjalne energije, ki ju zahteva interpretacija tega dela, bosta predstavila edinstven primer združitve starih inštrumentov v sodobnem glasbenem izrazu.
