6. UNICUM international ceramics triennial 2026: record attendance and historical milestone in Applied Design.
Ljubljana is once again becoming the center of World ceramic creativity. This year, 6. the UNICUM 2026 edition was attended by a record number of artists – 395 artists from more than 50 countries . Among them, the works of 170 selected artists from more than 30 countries can be seen at three Ljubljana venues, which confirms the exceptional international reputation and growth of this project.
Groundbreaking step: the meeting of art and applied design
This year's triennial represents an important historical milestone. Seventeen years after the first edition of Unicum in 2009, the Classic exhibition of art ceramics is joined for the first time by a dedicated exhibition project of Applied ceramic design.
The exhibition entitled 'infinite use' is co-produced with the Rog Centre and raises new questions and dimensions about the role of ceramics in our everyday life.

In addition to the main events, the triennial brings two extremely interesting exhibition sets that will be on display at Metelkova:
An international ceramics student exhibition that presents fresh ideas and the future of this medium.
Selection of contemporary art ceramics by members of the Croatian Association of fine artists of Applied Arts (ULUPUH).
You are invited to catch the pulse of top domestic and world-class ceramic production and explore the variety of shapes, techniques and concepts in three locations around the city !
6. mednarodni trienale keramike UNICUM 2026: Rekordna udeležba in zgodovinski mejnik v uporabnem oblikovanju.
Ljubljana ponovno postaja središče svetovne keramične ustvarjalnosti. Na letošnjo, že 6. edicijo trienala UNICUM 2026 se je prijavilo rekordno število ustvarjalcev – kar 395 umetnic in umetnikov iz več kot 50 držav . Izmed njih si bo na treh ljubljanskih prizoriščih mogoče ogledati dela 170 izbranih umetnikov iz več kot 30 držav, kar potrjuje izjemen mednarodni ugled in rast tega projekta.
Prelomni korak: Srečanje umetnosti in uporabnega oblikovanja
Letošnji trienale predstavlja pomemben zgodovinski mejnik. Sedemnajst let po prvi izdaji UNICUMA leta 2009 se klasični razstavi umetniške keramike prvič pridružuje namenski razstavni projekt uporabnega oblikovanja keramike.
Razstava z naslovom Brezmejna uporaba (Beyond Use) nastaja v koprodukciji s Centrom Rog in odpira nova vprašanja ter dimenzije o vlogi keramike v našem vsakdanu.
