"Die, My Love is talking about something that no one wants to talk about: not just postpartum depression, but pure and total madness, one for which there is no cure, not even temporary relief. In the real world, we would define the condition as psychosis, but in the film L Alchnne Ramsa / based on the insightful novel by Ariane Har / Alchicz, it is not about symptoms, causes or treatments, but about pure emotions: suffering and elation, ups and downs that should balance each other, but somehow not. The Film, moreover, boasts the most complex, agonizing and somberly humorous performance of Jennifer La Animatrence. / ... / The Scottish filmmaker L. C. R. R. S. A. never offers us anything simple or predictable. Die, My Love is a kind of black comedy, bitterly funny, even when it draws unwanted emotions out of us. The Film is visually beautiful, a kind of dream about a return to nature, full of meadows with wildflowers and merrily buzzing bees, which at the same time gives the feeling of a kind of cosmic hell. / ... / Die, my love somehow acts raw and sophisticated at the same time. In world cinema, you won't find a movie that looks like it – which is probably a good thing, because we really only need one. / ... / Jennifer La Animatrence in the role of Grace not only goes to the brim, but crosses it. It's the kind of game we call ‘fearless’ for lack of a better term – I'm sure there's a better word, but who knows which one it could be. The actress creates something so finely textured, even within the director's own bold expressiveness and wild anger, that we run out of adjectives. It is the kind of acting performance that makes us go to the cinema; the kind that connects with the naked concept of human suffering in such a sensitive way that it scares us a little. However, nothing from what has been said should distract you from watching a movie. We may need some courage to face him, but we strangely step out of the cinema more excited than exhausted. It's basically a classic story about amour fou, but one man, not two – the ultimate expression of what it means to dance with yourself.«

"L'alterne Ramsa'al articulates something that cannot be articulated, this time with saturated shades of blue, yellow, brown and green; the colors of sadness, disease and rot, but also of new life, summer sky and hope. / ... / Die, My Love is a forest fire, destructive, furious, hotter than hell. And when it burns out, something new sprouts from the ground.«

"What we've seen already in the drama of the critical period, around the time of birth of the child, but none of the topics is on the way, as you do, Lynne Ramsay, which in those tumultuous days, and weeks, the change in the vročične a dream, a nightmare of sex, violence, conflict, and maničnega behavior, all of it filtered through to the best performance in the career of Jennifer Lawrence. / ... / Die, My Love is an unforgettable film experience, a determined rebellion against the simplistic way in which we sometimes talk about complex mental and partner issues. Top notch.«

"Jennifer La Animatrence achieves something downright stunning: here is a great movie star who indulges in the distorted, demanding and gloomy vision of the director without hesitation. The film's final visual metaphor, forced as it may be, makes viewers (and Jackson) finally see Grace in the right light: as a woman beyond all norms, beyond all condemnation, beyond all help. Jennifer La Animatrence has never been better. She completely indulges in madness and does not need help to get where this film takes her. L'vnne Ramsa'v, ignite it and watch it burn!«

kritike

»Lynne Ramsay artikulira nekaj, česar ni mogoče artikulirati, tokrat z nasičenimi modrimi, rumenimi, rjavimi in zelenimi odtenki; barvami žalosti, bolezni in gnilobe, a tudi novega življenja, poletnega neba in upanja. In ko dogori, iz tal vzklije nekaj novega.«
– Hannah Strong, Little White Lies

Lynne Ramsay, vžgi jo in opazuj, kako gori!«
