Tone Kralj is one of the most recognizable Slovenian visual artists, Outstanding also on a European scale, who is considered one of the founders of Expressionism and the new reality in Slovenia. The exhibition of Representative Royal works of painting and sculpture and works on paper, mostly from the pre-war period, will also include new acquisitions of the Bozidar Jakac Gallery, which have not been on public display for decades, and a selection of works from the collection of the National Gallery. Among other things, after restoration interventions (Zvkds Restoration center), the monumental work of Salom from 1931 will be on display for the first time.

Tone Kralj je eden izmed najbolj prepoznavnih slovenskih likovnih ustvarjalcev, izjemen tudi v evropskem merilu, ki velja za enega od utemeljiteljev ekspresionizma in nove stvarnosti na Slovenskem. Razstava reprezentativnih Kraljevih slikarskih in kiparskih del ter del na papirju, večinoma iz predvojnega obdobja, bo vključevala tudi nove pridobitve Galerije Božidar Jakac, ki že desetletja niso bile na ogled javnosti, in izbor del iz zbirke Narodne galerije. Med drugim bo po restavratorskih posegih (Restavratorski center ZVKDS) prvič na ogled monumentalno delo Saloma iz leta 1931.
