On Thursday, 7. 5. 2026, at 18.00, we invite you to the establishment - space of art and participation for the presentation of the work and artistic practices of the artist Vlad Br Animateanu.
The artist is the first resident of SobeZaGosteMaribor in 2026. For the duration of the monthly residency in May, he will develop and finally present his art project.
Born in 1986 in Bacactu, in the former Socialist Republic of Romania (RSR), VLAD-LUCIAN BR ANIMUTEANU currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
The crossing of the boundaries between public and private spaces and the search for markers for (in)visibility are reflected in works that raise questions about insecurity, fragility and stability in neoliberal societies.
Vlad often deals with public space in an ad hoc, responsive way through the prism of urban acupuncture, with the goal of establishing dialogue and questioning the invisible tensions embedded in the location. Sound / hypnotic inductions, found objects and interventions in public space using playful semiotics of images are part of his current practice.

Umetnik je prvi rezident SobeZaGosteMaribor v letu 2026. Za čas trajanja mesečne rezidence v maju bo razvil in na koncu predstavil svoj umetniški projekt.
VLAD-LUCIAN BRĂTEANU je rojen leta 1986 v Bacău v nekdanji Socialistični republiki Romuniji (RSR), trenutno živi in dela v Berlinu v Nemčiji.
Prečkanje meja med javnimi in zasebnimi prostori ter iskanje označevalcev za (ne)vidnost se odražata v delih, ki postavljajo vprašanja o negotovosti, krhkosti in stabilnosti v neoliberalnih družbah.
Vlad se pogosto ukvarja z javnim prostorom na ad hoc, odziven način skozi prizmo urbane akupunkture, s ciljem vzpostaviti dialog in postaviti pod vprašaj nevidne napetosti, vgrajene v lokacijo. Zvočne/hipnotične indukcije, najdeni predmeti in intervencije v javnem prostoru, ki uporabljajo igrivo semiotiko podob, so del njegove trenutne prakse.
