On the old radio
I put on a good sound
it turns me around
moves me to and fro
brings me down
that good sound
knocks us backward
lighter and tobacco
drills to the bones
drives me crazy
that pencil knows me
and the box plays
on solid graphite
the trace that follows us
darkening the bright days
for fucked-up people
The event won the Golden Lightning Award for the most outstanding event of the previous season at the Old Power Station.
“The musical-performative project Now I can get the fuck out of here, now I can go , through the form of a concert, wanders in a relaxed yet binding way between the feelings of contemporary everyday life, which grow unobtrusively from the intertwining of Primož Čučnik’s poetry, the sensitive vocal interpretation of Nataša Živković, and the musical landscape layered by the ensemble under the direction of Tomaž Grom. None of the components, which are complemented by videos and bits of the performative, are in the foreground: like pieces of a common presence, they merge into a seamless whole that speaks – and speaks to – a multitude of different levels.”
