Opening night of the first SHO aluctcase Festival Moving Balkans
We are pleased to announce the opening of the Moving Balkans festival, which will take place on the 10th. in May 2025 at 20. hours at the center of culture Spanish fighters. The Festival is the first major public event of the regional platform of contemporary dance, which aims to connect, represent and strengthen contemporary dance in the Balkan area.
Moving Balkans-the platform of contemporary dance is a new and dynamic link of dance professionals from the Balkans, established at the beginning of 2024. The mission of the platform is to promote contemporary dance in the region and place it competitively in the European Space. Through a network of regional partnerships, presentation festivals, artist mobility initiatives, workshops, co-creations and capacity building activities, the platform aims to empower dance professionals and increase the visibility of the living and diverse dance scene developing in the Balkans.
At the heart of the platform are distinguished international partners, who each in their own way make a significant contribution to the formation of the landscape of contemporary dance in the region:
Albania Dance Meeting (AL), Art Link Foundation (BG), Contemporar musical Dance Association Slovenia (SI), Croatian Cultural Center Rijeka (HR), Croatian Institute for Movement and Dance (HR), DAN.C. CE UNITIVA (GR), EN–KNAP Productions (SI), Interart Culture Center (MK), Kino bangs Centre for Urban Culture (SI), the National Center for Dance Bucharest (RO), Students’ Cultural Center Novi Sad (RS).
Life imitates art. The object imitates dance.
The image evokes anatomy, but it is about autonomy. Imagine the body, its parts and accessories, their movement, decomposing and flattening, performing functions beyond their normal functionality. Functions only respond to themselves. The body, its parts and utensils, their movement become objects (of dance), objects of becoming, and they use objects, utensils to become objects (of dance), objects of becoming. The body, its parts and gadgets, their movement take on their own life, become the world on itself and for itself. This “objectification " is not alienation, it is acting, frightening action at a distance. Freedom of potential, freedom without limit. Endless game, play as a goal. Sensibility, more than meaning. Excess. This” objectification " is not imitation, a zero-sum game, it is autonomy. If so, the reverse is imitation; life is art, the object is dance. Did anyone say "camp"? "Ludilo".
A masterpiece for six dancers (2023), which unfolds through a series of vignettes – inspired by Bauhaus philosophy and Triadic Ballet – explores the ways in which the body gets rid of cultural symbols and social meanings that are mapped onto it over time. Using objects as costumes that hinder movement and give it a mechanical touch, the body transforms its autonomy in a fit of functional obstacles. Its functions slide between the concrete and the abstract into choreography. Each body is its own masterpiece, emerging from the intertwining of the self and the environment. With the adaptation of the body, with its “objectification” and its expansion into space and surroundings, with the subjugation and immersion of the body, paradoxical freedom and autonomy arise – of art and artificiality.
"Drawing postcards from the common unconscious, the petrified state of humanity, a trance that settles into a rhythm, an indifferent sequence. Painkillers that crush into dance, the sublime, double loneliness of the incomparable. A continuous rush of turmoil that enslaves the body in its ritual run."

Ponovitev plesne predstave
Življenje posnema umetnost. Predmet posnema ples.
Podoba prikliče anatomijo, a gre za avtonomijo. Predstavljajte si telo, njegove dele in pripomočke, njihovo gibanje, ki se razgrajujejo in razpostavljajo, opravljajo funkcije onkraj njihove običajne funkcionalnosti. Funkcije odgovarjajo le same sebi. Telo, njegovi deli in pripomočki, njihovo gibanje postanejo predmeti (plesa), predmeti postajanja, in uporabljajo predmete, pripomočke, da postanejo predmeti (plesa), predmeti postajanja. Telo, njegovi deli in pripomočki, njihovo gibanje zaživijo svoje življenje, postanejo svet sam na sebi in zase. To “popredmetenje” ni odtujitev, je vršilskost, strašljivo delovanje na daljavo. Svoboda potenciala, svoboda brez limite.
S prilagajanjem telesa, z njegovim “popredmetenjem” in njegovo razširitvijo v prostor in okolico, s podrejanjem in potapljanjem telesa se pojavita paradoksalna svoboda in avtonomija – umetnosti in umetelnosti.
"Zamikanje razglednic iz skupnega nezavednega, okamenela stanja človeštva, trans, ki se umiri v ritem, brezbrižno zaporedje. Protibolečinske tablete, ki se zdrobijo v ples, vzvišena, dvojna osamljenost neprimerljivega. Neprekinjen naval nemira, ki zasužnjuje telo v njegovem obrednem teku."
