Staro mestno jedro Zeleznikov je do danes ohranilo svoj fuzinarski značaj. Nevarnost požarov je bila v času železarstva vseskozi prisotna in zaradi varovanja pred požari so v 19. stoletju pričeli hiše pokrivati z negorjivo kritino, skrilom in opeko. Na poti skozi stari del Železnikov nas bodo pritegnile posebej tiste strehe, ki so pokrite s kritino iz skrila.
Opazovali bomo detajle na strehah, prisluhnili zgodbam izpod streh in ugotavljali razlike med nekoč in danes.
