An evening of documentary story, art and open dialogue
When: 24.7.2026,
Clock: 19: 00 ,
Location: May Day Square 18, 2319 Poljcane
Sometimes the greatest creativity does not arise from comfort.
But from the crack.
From the feeling that the world is not safe. From the need for a person to transform inner chaos into an image, idea, movement, story or action that builds.
Through a broken lens, it is an evening that, through documentary film, illustration and open conversation, opens a space for reflection on how life's trials shape a person and how an individual can transform his wound into creativity, resilience and constructive action.
The evening begins with a short documentary screening by Dr. Janja Mikulan, which raises questions of childhood, social environment and the ways in which experiences affect our development. This is followed by a moderated open discussion of the issue:
What do Lebanese, Palestinian and Slovenian children have in common?
Not through a political prism, but through an understanding of human development, a sense of security, belonging and the search for meaning.
The discussion will be led by Bostjan Polanec, a behavioural coach, a graduate of the Faculty of Applied Social Studies (FUDSH) and a student of Janja Mikulan, PhD. As a host, the conversation will focus on exploring the question of how different life experiences can influence the development of creativity, personal resilience and responsible functioning in society.
The special guest of the evening will be illustrator Jana Fak,
which will present an illustration of"the Future is Bright". Her work represents a symbolic counterpoint of the evening : a reminder that a crack is not necessarily the end of a story, but can become a space through which hope, creativity and a new perspective enter.
The event is not aimed at finding easy answers, but at creating a space for listening, thinking and sincere dialogue between people of different views and experiences.

Večer dokumentarne zgodbe, umetnosti in odprtega dialoga
Kdaj: 24.7.2026,
Ura: 19:00 ,
Kaj imajo skupnega libanonski, palestinski in slovenski otroci?
Ne skozi politično prizmo, temveč skozi razumevanje človekovega razvoja, občutka varnosti, pripadnosti in iskanja smisla.
Razpravo bo vodil Boštjan Polanec, vedenjski trener, diplomant Fakultete za uporabne družbene študije (FUDŠ) ter učenec dr. Janje Mikulan.
Posebna gostja večera bo ilustratorka Jana Fak,
ki bo predstavila ilustracijo »The Future is Bright«. Njeno delo predstavlja simbolni kontrapunkt večera : opomin, da razpoka ni nujno konec zgodbe, temveč lahko postane prostor, skozi katerega vstopijo upanje, ustvarjalnost in nova perspektiva.
Dogodek ni namenjen iskanju enostavnih odgovorov, temveč ustvarjanju prostora za poslušanje, razmišljanje in iskren dialog med ljudmi različnih pogledov in izkušenj.
