For the first time, the Prekmurje quartet dzhezzva is coming to Blunout, which for more than fifteen years has been intertwining jazz, ethno, rock and freer improvisational currents in an original way. The quartet has been an indispensable part of the domestic and European jazz scene for many years. Their expression is based on a refined interpretation of the American jazz tradition, which they build on with elements of European classical music and subtle influences of the popular and folk culture of southern Europe. Four Masters of improvisation with an extraordinary sense of group dynamics create music that appeals to even the most demanding listener. Their expressiveness is sensitive, but at the same time virtuoso — the fruit of many years of joint music making and an author's vision that does not need big words.
This time they will be joined on stage by the outstanding young trumpeter Filip Dihpol, a musician with a pronounced sense of color and melody.
