ZHLEHTET is a collective working under the direction of pianist, composer and producer Rok Zalokar. It appears in different constellations and thus constantly follows the fresh wind. The collective comes from the tradition of spiritual jazz and is committed to the message of the moment and common understanding. It brings together the most prominent musicians of the new (ob)Jazz generation, who, in addition to their unique expression on the instrument, are also composers and creators. Since the beginning of the collective in 2019, 10 albums have been released, documenting different approaches, and at the same time the collective regularly presents itself at festivals at home and abroad, as well as at self – established venues-everything from jazz clubs to PS / trance festivals.
The common thread of the band is channeling the energy of the concert evening and thus weaving the collective experience together with the audience, which makes each performance unique.
Last November, Jazz Cerkno records released Pieces for Collective Change. which was chosen as the Slovenian Album of the year on Radio student.

ZHLEHTET je kolektiv, ki deluje pod vodstvom pianista, skladatelja in producenta Roka Zalokarja. Pojavlja se v različnih konstelacijah in tako stalno sledi svežemu vetru. Kolektiv izhaja iz tradicije spiritualnega jazza in je predan sporočilu trenutka in skupnemu razumevanju. Združuje najvidnejše glasbenike nove (ob)jazzovske generacije, ki so poleg samosvojega izraza na instrumentu tudi skladatelji in ustvarjalci. Od začetkov kolektiva leta 2019 je izslo že 10 albumov, ki dokumentirajo različne pristope, hkrati pa se kolektiv redno predstavlja tako na festivalih doma in v tujini, kot tudi na samoniklih prizoriščih – vse od jazz klubov do psy-trance festivalov.
Rdeča nit zasedbe je kanaliziranje energije koncertnega večera in s tem tkanje kolektivne izkušnje skupaj s publiko, kar naredi vsak nastop edinstven.
Lani novembra so pri Jazz Cerkno records izdali album Pieces for Collective Change. ki je bil izbran za slovenski album leta na Radiu Študent.
