We cordially invite you to the May concert of the sacred subscription, where we will listen to the music of the Ave Maria prayer through different musical periods and styles. Soprano Petra Vrh Vrezec, baritone al Vrezec , organist Gregor Klancic will present compositions from the pen of musical giants from classical and opera composers to composers of film and popular music. The concert will be rounded off by Ave Maria of Slovenian composers F. Gerbic and Ursula Yashovec. The concert will also feature the Ave MARIA CD with 23 different tunings of the Ave Maria prayer. The concert will take place on Monday, 2. in May 2022 at 19: 30. uri in the Ursuline Church of Sv. Trinity in Ljubljana. There is no entrance fee, but we will be glad to volunteer contributions. Lyric by Mihael Bricelj *first public performance soprano PETRA VRH VREZEC started her musical career with piano playing at the age of seven and after ten years upgraded it by studying solos at the lower Music School Ribnica and at the secondary music and Ballet School in Ljubljana with prof. Editi Garcevi / Kozhelj and Marjan Trkko. After that, she drank her coloratura soprano with the internationally renowned baritone Ferdinand Radovan and the coloratura soprano Norina Radovan, and to this day with the world-renowned opera singer and pedagogue Dunja Vejzova 6 in Zagreb and with participation in master classes (Edita Gruberova, Dunja Vejzovi 6, Marcos Fink). She regularly collaborates with SNG Opera and ballet Ljubljana , where between 2013 and 2021 she recreated the roles of Queen Of The Night (Magic Flute, 2019-2021), Ninon (Gorenjska Nightingale, 2013-2020), Oskar (masked dance, 2014), Adele (bat , 2014 and 2015) and Minerva (Orpheus in the underworld, 2015-2019). As a concert singer, she has performed with numerous orchestras and chamber groups throughout Slovenia and Croatia. Since autumn 2016, he has also recreated his own children's, youth and adult opera performances, breaking taboos about opera. In recent years, he has Associated his second profession, biology , with music in various concerts and performances ( P bird singing – the challenge of composers, nature in music ). Baritone Al Vrezec started his singing studies at the age of 19 at private lessons with the world-renowned baritone Ferdinand Radovan. He also improved his singing skills by actively participating in singing seminars in Croatia, Italy and Slovenia. In addition to Radovan, he also trained with Carlos Montanejo, Jelena Hafner-Radovan, Alessandro Swabo, Norina Radovan and Dunja Vejzova/. He participated in several concerts, Productions and opera performances in Slovenia, Croatia and Italy. He recreated the roles of Eisenstein , dr. Falke and Frank (bat), don Basilio (Barber of Seville) and Count Almaviva (concert performance of Figaro's wedding) . In 2016, together with soprano and spouse Petra Vrh vrezec, he prepared the educational performance first meeting with Opera for children. This was followed in 2018 by the performance teenage Barber directed by Zvoneto Shedlbauer. Both performances have been repeated in and outside the Ljubljana Opera House. Between 2013 and 2021 , he performed several sacred recitals on the rounded theme of Ave Maria with soprano Petra Vrh Vrezec and various organists, which were the introduction to the creation of the present CD. In addition, he works as a researcher at the National Institute of biology and as a curator at the Natural History Museum of Slovenia, and is habilitated as an assistant professor at the University of Ljubljana. GREGOR KLANCIC, choir director and organist, started his musical education at the Nova Gorica General Assembly and at the organ School in Nova Gorica (prof. Hubert Bergant). He continued his studies at the Academy of music in Ljubljana, where he graduated from the Department of music pedagogy and church music (organ at doc. Renati Bauer). He has conducted several different choirs and singing ensembles. He regularly participates in summer singing seminars organized by ZCPZ - Trieste. From 1993 to 2012 he was a member of the Slovenian Chamber Choir – now the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir, from 2004 to 2012 he worked as an assistant choir director. He gave several solo concerts with the choir. In 2018, he was assistant director of the Slovenian Philharmonic for the field of choir and artistic director of the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir, in May 2020 he took up this position again. From 2011 to 2019, Kd Schellenburg created the concert cycle sacral subscription. He performed several vocal-instrumental concerts with the Consortium musicum as part of his subscription. He is the head of music activities at the Archdiocese of Ljubljana. He has been working as an organist at the Ljubljana cathedral since 1999 and leads the choir of theologians of the Ljubljana seminary. He is principal and professor at the organ School in Ljubljana. As an organist he gave concerts in Slovenia, Croatia, France, Germany and Italy. He has performed together with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, with numerous vocal soloists, instrumentalists and choirs: the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir, The Consortium musicum choir and orchestra, the Musica Matica choir, the Ipavska Chamber Choir, etc.
