Tenebrae factae sunt-passion of Christ through prayer and contemplation on Good Friday.
The first part of the program concerns the Liturgy of the theme ( Officium Tenebrarum ) - solemn ancient prayer rites during Matins (Matins). The role of the responsories was to comment on the lessons that followed each other on Maundy Thursday, Friday and Saturday. With their striking content, the responzories inspired many composers at different times: they will present tunings by Francesco Corteca, Tomas Luis de Victoria and Francis Poulenc. The antiphon Christus factus est at the conclusion of the Liturgy of Good Friday introduces the meditation of the faithful at the passion of Christ.
The crucifixion of Christ will be echoed in Antonio Lotti's famous composition Crucifi Modulus , the only a cappella work of his Creda in F major for choir and orchestra. The central rites of Good Friday include the veneration of the cross, introduced by the singing of characteristic impromperia (reproaches). Giammartino Durighello, in an interesting way, juxtaposed the first verse of this dramatic text, which enacts a dialogue between the disillusioned Christ and the Hebrew nation that betrayed him.
The ancient hymn Cru / / fidelis , which comes out during the worship of the cross, was initially set to music by Venanzio Fortunato; in the text, it revives a legend according to which the wood of the Cross of Christ emanates from a tree that bore the fruit of Original Sin In Paradise on Earth.
The second part of the concert is dedicated to Lenten chants derived from folk tradition: two ancient hymns in Italian and a folk song from Veneto, arranged by Pavle Merk, will be presented.
The concert will be concluded by the sequence Stabat Mater by Joseph Rheinberger for choir, String Quintet and organ.

Tenebrae factae sunt - Kristusov pasijon skozi molitev in kontemplacijo ob velikem petku.
S svojo presunljivo vsebino so responzoriji navdahnili številne skladatelje v različnih obdobjih: predstavili bodo uglasbitve Francesca Cortecce, Tomasa Luisa De Victorie in Francisa Poulenca. Antifona Christus factus est ob zaključku liturgije velikega petka uvaja meditacijo vernikov ob Kristusovem pasijonu.
Kristusovo križanje bo odzvanjalo v znameniti skladbi Crucifixus Antonia Lottija , edinem a cappella delu njegova Creda v F-duru za zbor in orkester.
