KGBL CHAMBER CHOIR
The flourishing of the choral movement at the Conservatory of music and ballet in Ljubljana began in 2010, when the composer and conductor Ambroz Chopi took over the leadership of the choir. After four years of growing quality and high rankings in competitions, the decision was made to split the choir into two groups. The kgbl choir, whose members are all those who do not attend school orchestras, and the Kgbl Chamber Choir, which consists of about 45 singers who want greater challenges, upgrading their vocal technical skills and singing more demanding choral literature at a higher quality level. The chamber choir regularly collaborates with vocal pedagogues Edita Garchevi / Kozhelj and Tatjana Vasle. The conductor is assisted in conducting the choir by assistant conductors Rebekah Dobravec, Masha Prah and Lenart Ulaga. The choir's repertoire is composed in a genre and stylistic variety from Renaissance to contemporary music. Special attention in the composition of the programs is devoted to the music of contemporary Slovenian composers. In the last three years, the choir has commissioned compositions from eminent Slovenian composers such as Lojze Lebic , Tadeja Vulc , Damijan Mochnik , zrz Sojar Voglar , Peter Shavli , Andrej Makor , Tine Bec , Matej Kastelic , Klara Mlakar , Jan Triller and Federica Lo Pinto , whose compositions the choir promotes with great success on concert and competition stages in Slovenia and abroad. KOMORNI ZBOR KGBL
Komorni zbor redno sodeluje z vokalnima pedagoginjama Edito Garčević Koželj in Tatjano Vasle. Dirigetu pri vodenju zbora pomagajo asistenti dirigenta Rebeka Dobravec, Maša Prah in Lenart Ulaga. ), na Festivalu Europa cantat v Ljubljani (2021) ter tujini: Stockholm ( Švedska , 2016), Borja, Ordizia, Getxo, Doneztebe (Španija, 2017), Mednarodni zborovski festival Basel ( Švica , 2018), Mednarodni zborovski festival Tajpej (Tajvan, 2018) in Peking ( Kitajska , 2018), Torino ( Italija , 2021), Florilege Vocal de Tours ( Francija , 2022), Voces of Spirit ( Avstrija , 2022) in Budapest Choral Festival ( Madžarska , 2023).
