We kindly invite you to 4. this season's sacral subscription concert, where we will listen to the chamber choir VIKRA, which operates under the auspices of The Musical Matica in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The concert program entitled STAR (E)S will reveal the faces of Shadows and lights in choral works by Slovenian and foreign composers. The choir is led by internationally renowned conductor Petra Grassi.
The concert will take place on Saturday, 17. in February 2024, at 19: 30. uri in the Ursuline Church of Sv. Trinity in Ljubljana.
There is no entrance fee, but we will be glad to volunteer contributions.

VIKRA, CHAMBER CHOIR OF THE MUSICAL NUT
The founding of the vocal group Vikra dates back to 2014, when a group of enthusiastic girls (from Vipava to the Karst) gathered at the premises of Glasbena Matica in Trieste on the initiative of conductor Petra Grassi, who were connected by their love for the beautifully unbuttoned Slovenian word. The top performance of the vocal group is evidenced by the awards from numerous choral competitions: first prize at the National Choral Competition Trofei CITT Entertainment di Vittorio Veneto (May 2017), first prize at the regional choral magazine USCI Corovivo in Cividale (October 2017), first prize in the category of equal votes at the National Choral Competition Guido d'arezzo (November 2017), the highest podium also at the National Choral Competition Il Garda and Coro in Malcesine 2028). In the category of youth choirs under the age of 28, she won the first prize, as well as the prize for the best performance of a composition by an Italian composer still alive (Roberto Brisotto: love). She earned the title of winner of the Grand Pri Altiva, and Petra Grassi the award for best conductor. As part of the project of unison as a representative of the Primorska region at the Slovenian Philharmonic, Vikra was named the best choir of the project (December 2018). She was also a demonstration choir at the Aegis carminis international conductor competition in Koper (summer 2021). The smaller cast participated in the Brera Pinacoteca project on the occasion of the recording of the Opera Fischreise by composer Andrea Melisa, taken from the children's book by Tom Seidmann-Freud (December 2022).
In 2021, the group transforms into a chamber ensemble, which is presented for the first time at 59. seghizzi International Choral Competition in Gorizia. In the categories Renaissance music, romantic music and contemporary music Vikra wins first prize and receives plaques for best conductor, best chamber group and music program of special artistic depth. At the same time, he also wins the Grand at the event, becoming the absolute winner of the competition, which for the Italian choir happens for the absolute first time in this competition. Vikra thus grows into an innovative, bold for some, advanced artistic figure, which includes male voices in the girls ' section, which allows performing in a wide range and color repertoire.
The interest in Vikra soon went beyond the borders, today singers and singers from all over Slovenia, northern Italy, even from the south of Italy and Northern Europe Drive – and fly to Trieste. But Vikra remains a Trieste-Slovenian project, which, in the name of choral quality, also includes Italian singing members who consciously choose the Slovenian choir of international Cova, approach the Slovenian language and culture, cultivate bilingualism, learn Slovenian – spread slovenism. Grassi's research and discovery of dusty sheet music by Slovenian authors, always attentive to the Slovene composers and a supporter of young all-Slovenian composers. Vikra has been a laboratory of tolerant and educated Interculturality since the first notes and performs in concert on the stages of subscriptions in Slovenia and Italy. In the past year, she successfully performed a musical project dedicated to Boris Pahor, which will sound on the stage of the Cultural Center in Nova Gorica in April this year.
Thanks to internal ambitions, quality work, software innovations and the referentiality of conductor Petra Grassi, the singing group is therefore trying to place Slovenia at the highest artistic level.
Petra GRASSI is a full-blooded musician. The Slovenian public drew attention to their exceptional talent by winning 1. the Matej hubad national competition for Slovenian choirs The Sound of my hands. She received a thorough musical education at the music Matica and the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory of music in Trieste, where she graduated in piano and music pedagogy, and also studied composition. She received her master's degree in choral conducting with distinction and praise at the F. A. Bonporti Conservatory of music in Trento, where she now teaches choral conducting and choral composition. She is the winner of the first prize of the competition for choral conductors Le mani and suono in Arezzo, and in this competition she also received the prize for the youngest finalist. In May 2015, she received her third prize at the Europa cantat international competition for young choral conductors in Turin. In July 2019, in Hong Kong, she received the award as the best conductor by choir selection at the world choral conductors competition.
With the DPZ Karst Nightingale, The vs. music nut – Vikra and the Regional Youth Choir FJK, she has won exclusively first prizes and special prizes for the best conductor at international and national competitions (Seghizzi, Arezzo, Vittorio Veneto, Bad Ischl, Olomouc, Venice, Corovivo, consonances, Malcesine, Derr..). In July 2022, at the C. A. Seghizzi international choral competition with Vikra GM Chamber Choir, she received only the first prizes in all the categories in which she competed, the best conductor award, for the best program and won the grand at the/. She teaches at the choral academies in Italy (Arezzo, Parma), conducts master classes for conductors and choral singers at home and abroad, and is a member of international competition juries. In the 2017-2019 season she was the conductor of the Youth Choir of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. With the decor Chamber Choir, she took the absolute first place in our song 2018 and won the prize for the best conductor of the competition. Petra Grassi is in a select group of young European conductors of the Tenso network of professional choirs. She was awarded the jskd golden sign 2017 for her artistic achievements in the field of vocal music, and in 2023 the Preserna prize of Slovenes in Italy.
In the period 2020-2022 she was conductor of the National Youth Choir Coro giovanile italiano. As a guest conductor, she gave concerts with the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir in June 2019.

Vljudno vas vabimo na 4. koncert Sakralnega abonmaja v letošnji sezoni, na katerem bomo prisluhnili Komornemu zboru VIKRA, ki deluje pod okriljem Glasbene matice v Furlaniji Julijski krajini. Koncertni program z naslovom STAR(E)S nam bo odstiral obraze sence in luči v zborovskih delih slovenskih in tujih skladateljev. Zbor vodi mednarodno priznana dirigentka Petra Grassi.
Koncert bo v soboto , 17. februarja 2024, ob 19.30. uri v uršulinski cerkvi Sv. Trojice v Ljubljani.
Vstopnine ni, veseli pa bomo prostovoljni prispevkov.

PROGRAM:
VIKRA, KOMORNI ZBOR GLASBENE MATICE
Ustanovitev vokalne skupine Vikra sega v leto 2014, ko se je v prostorih Glasbene matice v Trstu na pobudo dirigentke Petre Grassi zbrala skupina navdušenih deklet (od Vipave do Krasa), ki jih je povezovala ljubezen do lepo odpete slovenske besede. O vrhunskem izvajanju vokalne skupine pričajo nagrade s številnih zborovskih tekmovanj: prva nagrada na Državnem zborovskem tekmovanju Trofei Città di Vittorio Veneto (maja 2017), prva nagrada na deželni zborovski reviji USCI Corovivo v Čedadu (oktobra 2017), prva nagrada v kategoriji enakih glasov na Državnem zborovskem tekmovanju Guido d’Arezzo (novembra 2017), najvišja stopnička tudi na Državnem zborovskegem tekmovanju Il Garda in Coro v kraju Malcesine ob Gardskem jezeru (maja 2028). V kategoriji mladinskih zborov do 28 let je dobila prvo nagrado, prav tako nagrado za najboljšo izvedbo skladbe italijanskega še živečega skladatelja (Roberto Brisotto: Ljubezen). Zaslužila si je naziv zmagovalca Grand Prixa, Petra Grassi pa nagrado za najboljšega dirigenta. V sklopu projekta Sozvočenja kot predstavica regije Primorske v Slovenski filharmoniji je Vikra razglašena za najboljši zbor projekta (decembra 2018). Bila je tudi demonstracijski zbor na mednarodnem tekmovanju dirigentov Aegis carminis v Kopru (poleti 2021). Manjša zasedba je sodelovala pri projektu Pinakoteke Brera ob snemanju opere Fischreise skladatelja Andrea Melisa, povzeto po otroški knjigi Toma Seidmanna-Freuda (decembra 2022).
Leto 2021 se skupina prelevi v komorno zasedbo, ki se prvič predstavi na 59. mednarodnem zborovskem tekmovanju Seghizzi v Gorici. V kategorijah renesančna glasba, romantična glasba in sodobna glasba zmaga Vikra prvo nagrado in prejme plakete za najboljšega dirigenta, najboljšo komorno skupino in glasbeni program posebne umetniške globine. Ob tem zmaga tudi Grand Prix, postane torej absolutni zmagovalec tekmovanja, kar za italijansko zborovstvo se to zgodi absolutno prvič na tem tekmovanju. Vikra tako prerase v inovativno, za ene drzno, za druge napredno umetniško postavo, ki v dekliško sekcijo vključuje moške glasove, kar dovoljuje izvajanje po razponu in barvah širok repertoar.
Zanimanje za Vikro je kmalu preseglo meje zamejstva, danes se v Trst vozijo – in letajo – pevke in pevci z vseh koncev Slovenije, severne Italije, celo z juga Italije in severne Evrope. A Vikra ostaja tržaško-slovenski projekt, ki v imenu zborovske kakovosti vključuje tudi italijansko pojoče člane, ki zavestno izberejo slovenski zbor mednarodnega kova, se približajo slovenskemu jeziku in kulturi, gojijo dvojezičnost, se učijo slovensko – širijo slovenstvo. Grassijeva raziskuje in odkriva zaprašene notne papirje slovenskih avtorjev, vselej pozorna na zamejske in podpornica mladih vseslovenskih skladateljev. Vikra je od prvih not laboratorij strpne in izobražene medkulturnosti in se koncertno predstavlja na odrih abonmajev v Sloveniji in Italiji. V minulem letu je uspešno izvajala glasbeni projekt, posvečen Borisu Pahorju, ki bo aprila letos abonmajsko zazvenel na odru Kulturnega doma v Novi Gorici.
Pevska skupina torej po zaslugi notranjih ambicij, kakovostnega dela, programskih inovacij in referenčnosti dirigentke Petre Grassi poskuša postavljati slovenstvo na najvišjo umetniško raven.
Tržaška Slovenka PETRA GRASSI je polnokrvna glasbenica. Slovensko javnost je na svoj izjemni talent opozorila z zmago na 1. državnem tekmovanju Mateja Hubada za slovenske zborovodje Zvok mojih rok. Temeljito glasbeno izobrazbo je pridobila na Glasbeni matici in Konservatoriju za glasbo Giuseppe Tartini v Trstu, kjer je diplomirala iz klavirja in glasbene pedagogike, študirala pa je tudi kompozicijo. Iz zborovskega dirigiranja je z odliko in pohvalo magistrirala na Konservatoriju za glasbo F. A. Bonporti v Trentu, kjer zdaj poučuje zborovsko dirigiranje in zborovsko kompozicijo. Je dobitnica prve nagrade tekmovanja za zborovske dirigente Le mani in suono v Arezzu, na tem tekmovanju pa je prejela tudi nagrado za najmlajšega finalista. Maja 2015 je na mednarodnem tekmovanju za mlade zborovske dirigente Europa cantat v Torinu prejela tretjo nagrado. Julija 2019 je v Hongkongu na svetovnem tekmovanju za zborovske dirigente prejela nagrado kot najboljši dirigent po izboru zbora.
Z DPZ Kraški slavček, VS Glasbene matice – Vikro in deželnim mladinskim zborom FJK je na mednarodnih in državnih tekmovanjih osvojila izključno prve nagrade in posebne nagrade za najboljšega dirigenta (Seghizzi, Arezzo, Vittorio Veneto, Bad Ischl, Olomouc, Benetke, Corovivo, Sozvočenja, Malcesine, Derry). Julija 2022 je na Mednarodnem zborovskem tekmovanju C. A. Seghizzi s Komornim zborom Vikra GM prejela samo prve nagrade v vseh kategorijah, v katerih je tekmovala, nagrado za najboljšega dirigenta, za najboljši program in osvojila grand prix. Poučuje na akademijah za zborovstvo v Italiji (Arezzo, Parma), vodi mojstrske tečaje za dirigente in zborovske pevce doma in v tujini ter je članica mednarodnih tekmovalnih žirij. V sezoni 2017–2019 je bila dirigentka Mladinskega zbora dežele Furlanije - Julijske krajine. S Komornim zborom DEKOR je na Naši pesmi 2018 zasedla absolutno prvo mesto in dobila nagrado za najboljšega dirigenta tekmovanja. Petra Grassi je v izbrani skupini mladih evropskih dirigentov mreže profesionalnih zborov Tenso. Prejela je zlati znak JSKD 2017 za svoje umetniške dosežke na področju vokalne glasbe, leta 2023 pa Prešernovo nagrado Slovencev v Italiji.
V obdobju 2020–2022 je bila dirigent reprezentančnega mladinskega nacionalnega zbora Coro giovanile italiano. Kot gostujoči dirigent je junija 2019 koncertirala z Zborom Slovenske filharmonije.
