Rudi Buchar is a Slovenian singer-songwriter and musician, born and strongly associated with Izola, where he lives and works. He is often described as an" Istrian troubadour", as he combines Istrian folk tradition, dialect and contemporary musical styles in his music, thus preserving and updating the cultural identity of Slovenian Istria in his own way. His creation is based on the interweaving of original music and traditional Istrian songs, which he interprets in a fresh and emotionally powerful way. Izola and the wider Istrian environment are a constant source of inspiration in his texts, which often talk about the sea, people, everyday life and belonging to space. Buchar is known for acting sincerely and directly on stage, while successfully connecting different generations of listeners with his music. With numerous performances at home and abroad, he became one of the most recognizable musical ambassadors of Istria and an important voice of the contemporary Slovenian singer-songwriter scene.
The concert will take place on Saturday, 13. 3. 2027 at 20.00 at the Izola Cultural Center.

Rudi Bučar je slovenski kantavtor in glasbenik, rojen in močno povezan z Izolo, kjer tudi živi in ustvarja. Pogosto ga opisujejo kot »istrskega trubadurja«, saj v svoji glasbi združuje istrsko ljudsko izročilo, narečje in sodobne glasbene sloge ter s tem ohranja in na svoj način posodablja kulturno identiteto slovenske Istre. Njegovo ustvarjanje temelji na prepletanju avtorske glasbe in tradicionalnih istrskih pesmi, ki jih interpretira na svež in čustveno močan način. Prav Izola in širše istrsko okolje sta stalni vir navdiha v njegovih besedilih, ki pogosto govorijo o morju, ljudeh, vsakdanjem življenju in pripadnosti prostoru. Bučar je znan po tem, da na odru deluje iskreno in neposredno, hkrati pa s svojo glasbo uspešno povezuje različne generacije poslušalcev. S številnimi nastopi doma in v tujini je postal eden najprepoznavnejših glasbenih ambasadorjev Istre ter pomemben glas sodobne slovenske kantavtorske scene.
