Pobudnik skupine Traffic Strings je bil romunski violist Lucian Moraru leta 2005. Vsestranski glasbenik se je izobrazil na Akademiji za glasbo v Bukarešti in se nato izpopolnil na Nizozemskem in v Veliki Britaniji. Ime zasedbe Traffic Strings nakazuje nenehno potovanje njenih članov skozi najrazličnejše glasbene zvrsti in obdobja. Njihov bogat repertoar vsebuje dela tako iz raznolike glasbene zakladnice klasičnih del, vse od baročnega obdobja do 20. stoletja, kot tudi tango, jazz, pop, tradicionalno glasbo in avtorska dela. Zasedba je izdala že osem plošč, lani pa so izdali tri, na katerih so se osredotočali na jazz, romunsko klasično glasbo ter mešanico baročne glasbe in tanga. Njihov nastop v Ljubljani bodo močno zaznamovali romansko glasbeno izročilo, jazz in sodobna glasba. Vseboval bo tretji stavek violinskega koncerta iz Štirih letnih časov Antonia Vivaldija, intermezzo španskega skladatelja zarzuel Gerónima Giméneza, skladbo brazilskega jazz in bossa nova kitarista Badna Powella de Aquina, tango urugvajskega skladatelja Gerarda Matosa Rodrígueza, dela treh velikanov postbopovske in jazz fusion poetike Wayna Shorterja, Freddieja Hubbarda in Chicka Coreje, ljudsko navdahnjeno rapsodično skladbo romunskega skladatelja Georgeja Enescuja in številne sodobne kompozicije Moraruja.
