Casa Rossa-closer from afar is a performance that walks through history with the participation of the audience, evoking the events that took place at the border crossing next to the Red House between 1947 and 1991. The whole performance comes to life precisely because of the participation of the audience. The border and rules dictated by historical events and political decisions affected residents along the border inexorably.
Great attention was paid to the research of stories and materials and the selection of people involved in the project. Performers and people who will contact the audience experience the border, the bilingualism of the space and the exchange of Italian and Slovenian culture on a daily basis.

The whole performance comes to life precisely because of the participation of the audience. The border and rules dictated by historical events and political decisions affected residents along the border inexorably.
However, it was the inhabitants who poured life into the border, enriched it, suffered for it, and also exploited it. It was elevated above the plain of a simple line, although it was not allowed to go beyond the framework of the system laid down from above.
The audience will experience the same dynamics during the performance of Casa Rossa – closer from afar: the participants will be guided through the performance with the help of audio and video materials and performers, but at some point they will be asked to participate, turning the performance into a performance.
With the help of headphones and performers, the audience will become the protagonist of the story and get to know the characters and anecdotes that marked this border crossing in a light but considerate way.
The show or performance will take place exactly in the place about which the stories are told. Anyone who already knows the border will have the opportunity to discover new details or relive the moments they have witnessed, the rest will only get to know the stories of this area. We will approach historical events as external observers and delve into them from a privileged and impartial position.
In this way we will be closer from afar.

Casa Rossa – Bližje od daleč je predstava, ki se s sodelovanjem publike sprehodi skozi zgodovino in obudi dogodke, ki so se dogajali na mejnem prehodu ob Rdeči hiši med letoma 1947 in 1991. Celotna predstava zaživi prav zaradi sodelovanja občinstva. Meja in pravila, ki so jih narekovali zgodovinski dogodki in politične odločitve, so neobhodno prizadeli prebivalce ob meji.
Veliko pozornost smo namenili raziskovanju zgodb in gradiva ter izbiri oseb, ki sodelujejo pri projektu. Nastopajoči in osebe, ki bodo navezovale stik s publiko, vsakodnevno doživljajo mejo, dvojezičnost prostora ter izmenjevanje italijanske in slovenske kulture.

Celotna predstava zaživi prav zaradi sodelovanja občinstva. Meja in pravila, ki so jih narekovali zgodovinski dogodki in politične odločitve, so neobhodno prizadeli prebivalce ob meji.
Vendar so bili prav prebivalci tisti, ki so meji vlili življenje, jo obogatili, zaradi nje trpeli in jo tudi izkoriščali. Povzdignili so jo nad ravan preproste črte, čeprav ni smela prekoračiti okvirov sistema, ki so bili določeni od zgoraj.
Občinstvo bo med predstavo Casa Rossa – Bližje od daleč doživelo enako dinamiko: udeleženci bodo s pomočjo avdio in video gradiva ter izvajalcev vodeni skozi predstavo, vendar bodo na neki točki pozvani k sodelovanju, s čimer se bo predstava spremenila v performans.
S pomočjo slušalk in nastopajočih bo občinstvo postalo protagonist zgodbe ter na lahkoten, a obziren način spoznalo like in anekdote, ki so zaznamovali ta mejni prehod.
Predstava oz. performans se bo odvijal točno na kraju, o katerem pripovedujejo zgodbe. Kdor mejo že pozna, bo imel možnost odkriti nove podrobnosti ali podoživeti trenutke, ki jim je bil priča, ostali bodo zgodbe tega območja šele spoznali. Zgodovinskim dogodkom se bomo približali kot zunanji opazovalci in se vanje poglobili iz privilegiranega in nepristranskega položaja.
Na ta način bomo bližje od daleč.
Veliko pozornost smo namenili raziskovanju zgodb in gradiva ter izbiri oseb, ki sodelujejo pri projektu.
Nastopajoči in osebe, ki bodo navezovale stik s publiko, vsakodnevno doživljajo mejo, dvojezičnost prostora ter izmenjevanje italijanske in slovenske kulture.
