Term: a series of workshops RE - creation of clothes takes place once a month , every 4. Saturday of the month from 10. to 13. hours.

What would be your dream bag? What would be hidden in it? What could it be created from? Let's look for ideas in disused clothes and fashion accessories. Maybe in an old shirt there is a bag for every day, in jeans a shopper, in a tie a handle or in a belt a perfect shoulder strap? Let your imagination run wild and create a bag that will reflect your style. We will play through different models of bags, the basics of planning, cutting and machine sewing, and explore how pockets, zippers, buttons, belts, ties and other details can be turned into interesting design elements. You will take on your shoulder a unique, useful product and proof that the best stories often start right where their journey seems to have ended.
Workshops are free, no previous experience is required.
About the mentor
The series of workshops RE - creation of clothing will be held in cooperation with the Dilight Association and will be led by mentor Ursa Strudel .
Ursa Strukel is a versatile creator, mover and philosopher who intertwines sustainable design, art of movement and ecological attitude as a way of being. She co-created the Trupa Trupa movement and circus group Trupa Trupa, co-founded Ked Smetumet, and for the past 9 years she has been leading the Society for the conscious culture of living Dilight.
Her brand Dilight RE-design is the product of 30 years of experimentation mainly in textile design of transparencies, garments and fashion accessories. At the moment, it is on the very edge of innovative-sustainable pre-design of clothing and textiles.
The program is part of the make-a-Thek project, which transforms libraries into inclusive community spaces through the circular use of Textiles, sustainable fashion and the preservation of handicraft skills. Make-a-Thek is funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe.

Kakšna bi bila vaša sanjska torba? Kaj bi se skrivalo v njej? Iz česa bi jo lahko ustvarili? Ideje poiščimo v odsluženih oblačilih in modnih dodatkih. Morda se v stari srajci skriva torba za vsak dan, v kavbojkah nakupovalka, v kravati ročaj ali v pasu popoln naramni trak? Prepustite se domišljiji in ustvarite torbo, ki bo odražala vaš slog. Preigrali bomo različne modele torb, osnove načrtovanja, krojenja in strojnega šivanja ter raziskali, kako lahko žepe, zadrge, gumbe, pasove, kravate in druge detajle spremenimo v zanimive oblikovne elemente. Na rami boste odnesli unikaten, uporaben izdelek in dokaz, da se najboljše zgodbe pogosto začnejo prav tam, kjer se zdi, da je njihova pot končana.
Delavnice so brezplačne, predhodne izkušnje niso potrebne.
O mentorici
Serija delavnic RE-kreacija oblačil , bo potekala v sodelovanju z društvom Dilight in jih bo vodila mentorica Urša Štrukelj .
Urša Štrukelj je vsestranska ustvarjalka, gibalka in filozofinja, ki prepleta trajnostno oblikovanje, umetnost gibanja in ekološko držo kot način bivanja. Soustvarila je gibalno‑cirkuško skupino Trupa Aduta, soustanovila Ked Smetumet, zadnjih 9 let pa vodi društvo za ozaveščeno kulturo bivanja Dilight.
Njena znamka Dilight RE-design je produkt 30 letnega eksperimentiranja predvsem v tekstilnem oblikovanju prosojnic, oblačil in modnih dodadkov. Trenutno je na samem robu inovativnega-trajnostnega pre-oblikovanja oblačil in tekstila.
Program je del projekta make-a-thek, ki knjižnice preoblikuje v vključujoče skupnostne prostore skozi krožno rabo tekstila, trajnostno modo in ohranjanje rokodelskih znanj. Make-a-thek preko Horizon Europe financira Evropska unija.
