This year's Advent season is dedicated to potica, a traditional Slovenian dessert. Potica is a dessert that announces holidays and family gatherings and is associated with Slovenian cultural heritage. The original exhibition will be on display in the gallery Stolp at Bled Castle in the months of December and January, and during this time visitors will be able to feast on fresh potica in the Castle restaurant.
The exhibition "The Story of potica" will take visitors through the rich history and tradition of making the Slovenian potica. In the Stolp Gallery, photographs will be exhibited that will show the process of preparing this delicious delicacy with the presentation of ingredients, on the first floor of the gallery there will be an exhibition of chocolate pralines with typical fillings of four Slovenian regions.
The slovenska potica project involves renowned experts, each with their own unique contribution. Dr. Janez Bogataj, ethnologist, shared his rich knowledge about the cultural heritage of potica and its importance for Slovenian cuisine. Culinary master Sonja Jezersek will bake a pot for the purpose of the exhibition. Her creative process will be meticulously documented and shown in the photographs on display. The modern interpretation of potica will be provided by the chocolate master Maks Pogacnik with the derivation of various Slovenian potica flavours in the form of pralines.
Moderna's cultural heritage and modern cuisine will be combined at the exhibition. It is designed for everyone who can appreciate history, tradition and top tastes.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Tuesday, 10. in December 2024, at 17. hours in the Knights ' Hall at Bled Castle.
Adventni čas letos posvečamo potici, tradicionalni slovenski sladici. Potica je sladica, ki napoveduje praznike in družinska srečanja in je povezana s slovensko kulturno dediščino. Izvirna razstava bo v Galeriji Stolp na Blejskem gradu na ogled v mesecu decembru in januarju, s svežo potico pa se bodo obiskovalci v tem času lahko posladkali v grajski restavraciji.
Razstava »Zgodba o potici« bo obiskovalce popeljala skozi bogato zgodovino in tradicijo izdelave slovenske potice. V Galeriji Stolp bodo razstavljene fotografije, ki bodo prikazale postopek priprave te slastne dobrote s predstavitvijo sestavin, v prvem nadstropju galerije bo postavljena razstava čokoladnih pralinejev s tipičnimi nadevi štirih slovenskih regij.
Pri projektu slovenska potica sodelujejo priznani strokovnjaki, vsak s svojim edinstvenim prispevkom. Dr. Janez Bogataj, etnolog, je delil svoje bogato znanje o kulturni dediščini potice in njenem pomenu za slovensko kulinariko. Kulinarična mojstrica Sonja Jezeršek bo za namen razstave spekla potico. Njen ustvarjalni proces bo natančno dokumentiran in prikazan na razstavljenih fotografijah. Za sodobno interpretacijo potice bo poskrbel čokoladni mojster Maks Pogačnik z izpeljavo različnih slovenskih potičnih okusov v obliki pralinejev.
Na razstavi se bosta združili slovenska kulturna dediščina in moderna kulinarika. Namenjena je vsem, ki znajo ceniti zgodovino, tradicijo in vrhunske okuse.
Odprtje razstave bo v torek, 10. decembra 2024, ob 17. uri v Viteški dvorani na Blejskem gradu.
