I’m Emma, 19 years old, from Austria— and I’ve always found joy in creating. During my volunteering year in Slovenia, that joy took on new shapes. I began experimenting with linocut printing and quickly fell in love with the process: the carving, the inking, the surprise of each impression. Alongside these prints, I continued drawing with aquarelle and pens, letting moments, moods, and places flow onto pages.
Some pieces are tied closely to my experience of living here—others just happened, like quiet thoughts unfolding on paper. Together, they mark a time of transition, learning, discovery, change and experimentation. This collection is a glimpse into that journey—of trying new things, finding inspiration in a new place, and letting art reflect both where I am and who I am becoming.
