A cultural event dedicated to the poet's stay in the village and his creation will take place in front of the old school, which for some time was also home to Srecka Kosovel. Already the title of the event indicates a connection to his children's poems, some of them are believed by the locals to have been created precisely from the inspiration that the poet found during his stay in Pliskovica.
The event is being prepared in cooperation with KD Karst bouquet, Primary School Dutovlje, a group of local youth and with the musical accompaniment of our boys and guests. In addition to the old school, the event will also take place in the Church of St. Nicholas. St. Thomas and at other village points, such as the new playground with bowling alley, the communal four and the owner of European friendship.
The walk through the village will end at the youth hotel with the opening of the pliskovica exhibition in old photographs, the recollection of memories by reading stories about the former life in the village and the recital of kosovel's poems. There will be a pleasant summer gathering and celebration on the 23rd. anniversary of the opening of the youth hotel in the renovated Slamca Homestead.
The event will also be an opportunity to meet friends of Pliskovica and locals who live elsewhere today, but remain closely connected with their native village.
RD Pliska has been enriching the cultural and social life in the village and municipality for many years by connecting different societies and individuals. The celebration of the Year of Kosovel is therefore also an opportunity to meet again with the poet's short but extraordinary life and with his poetry, which still confirms today that Setko Kosovel was one of the most important masters of the Slovenian poetic word.
V Pliskovici bo pred staro šolo, ki je bila nekaj časa tudi dom Srečka Kosovela, potekal kulturni dogodek, posvečen pesnikovemu bivanju v vasi in njegovemu ustvarjanju. Že naslov dogodka nakazuje navezavo na njegove otroške pesmi, za nekatere med njimi pa domačini verjamejo, da so nastale prav po navdihu, ki ga je pesnik našel med bivanjem v Pliskovici.
Dogodek pripravljajo v sodelovanju s KD Kraški šopek, OŠ Dutovlje, skupino domače mladine ter ob glasbeni spremljavi Naših fantov z gosti. Dogajanje bo poleg stare šole zaživelo tudi v cerkvi sv. Tomaža in na drugih vaških točkah, kot so novo igrišče z baliniščem, komunska štirna in Latnik evropskega prijateljstva.
Sprehod skozi vas se bo zaključil v Mladinskem hotelu z odprtjem razstave Pliskovica na starih fotografijah, obujanjem spominov ob branju zgodb o nekdanjem življenju v vasi ter recitalom Kosovelovih pesmi. Sledilo bo prijetno poletno druženje in praznovanje 23. obletnice odprtja Mladinskega hotela v obnovljeni Slamčevi domačiji.
Dogodek bo hkrati tudi priložnost za srečanje prijateljev Pliskovice in domačinov, ki danes živijo drugod, a ostajajo tesno povezani s svojo rojstno vasjo.
RD Pliska že vrsto let bogati kulturno in družabno življenje v vasi ter občini s povezovanjem različnih društev in posameznikov. Praznovanje Kosovelovega leta je zato tudi priložnost za ponovno srečanje s pesnikovim kratkim, a izjemnim življenjem ter z njegovo poezijo, ki še danes potrjuje, da je bil Srečko Kosovel eden najpomembnejših mojstrov slovenske pesniške besede.
