The deranged Blues professors are a band and at the same time friends who have proven for over a decade that the blues can be raw, honest and insanely fun. Saturday, 16. in May, at 20:30, a new album, this road alone, will be presented at Lokalpatriot.
The band consists of:
- Julian Eric (guitar, vocals,
- Miha Ribaric (bass),
- Zlatko Djogi < Br > (drums, vocals) and
- Ales earring (keyboards).
Their concerts are not just performances, but a real musical road trip – or, rather, quite a rodeo. After three released records and a period of creation in the Slovenian language, they are now returning to their roots with a set of original English compositions that rely more closely on the blues tradition.
In May, they return to a new city, where they are preparing a concert full of surprises and long improvisations – everything that music lovers of the Sixties and seventies (as well as more modern genres) could wish for. "Hippie," some would say, while others are already preparing dance shoes. This time, Julian's amplifier can go up to 12, and Ales bought an antique cabinet instead of an organ speaker.
Expect the unexpected. Some new tracks are already conquering the radio waves, while others will be able to hear the listeners for the first time right at the concert.

Prismojeni profesorji Bluesa so bend in hkrati prijatelji, ki že več kot desetletje dokazujejo, da je blues lahko surov, iskren in noro zabaven. V soboto, 16. maja, ob 20:30 bodo v LokalPatriotu predstavili nov album Walk This Road Alone.
Bend sestavljajo:
– Julijan Erič (kitara, vokal),
– Miha Ribarič (bas),
– Zlatko Djogić (bobni, vokal) in
– Aleš Uhan (klaviature).
Njihovi koncerti niso zgolj nastopi, temveč pravi glasbeni road trip – ali, bolje rečeno, kar rodeo. Po treh izdanih ploščah in obdobju ustvarjanja v slovenskem jeziku se zdaj vračajo h koreninam z naborom avtorskih angleških skladb, ki se tesneje naslanjajo na blues tradicijo.
Maja se vračajo v Novo mesto, kjer pripravljajo koncert, poln presenečenj in dolgih improvizacij – vse, kar bi si ljubitelji glasbe šestdesetih in sedemdesetih (pa tudi sodobnejših zvrsti) lahko želeli. »Hipijada,« bi rekli nekateri, medtem ko drugi že pripravljajo plesne čevlje. Tokrat gre lahko Julijanov ojačevalec do 12, Aleš pa je namesto zvočnika za orgle kupil kar starinsko omaro.
Pričakujte nepričakovano. Nekaj novih skladb že osvaja radijske valove, druge pa bodo poslušalci lahko prvič slišali prav na koncertu.
