For two decades, Rudi Buchar, a singer-songwriter and musician, has been blending the musical tradition of his native Istria with contemporary melodies in a unique and recognizable way in his original compositions, making an important contribution to the preservation and dissemination of Istrian cultural heritage throughout Slovenia and beyond its borders, which puts him in a particularly outstanding place as an artist and creator.
With his exceptional vocal interpretation, not least his studies in jazz singing and arranging at the University of Trieste, his poetic creative expression, sincere devotion and loyalty to tradition, Rudi marked the local music scene and enriched it with several released albums and numerous compositions that not only won festivals, but still remain part of his varied repertoire on the concert stage.

Rudi Bučar, kantavtor, glasbenik, že dve desetletji na edinstven in prepoznaven način v avtorskih skladbah staplja glasbeno izročilo rodne Istre s sodobnimi melodijami in na izviren način pomembno prispeva k ohranjanju in širjenju istrske kulturne dediščine širom Slovenije in zunaj njenih meja, kar ga kot umetnika in ustvarjalca postavlja na posebej izstopajoče mesto.
S svojo izjemno glasovno interpretacijo, nenazadnje je na tržaški univerzi zaključil študij jazzovskega petja in aranžiranja, poetičnim ustvarjalnim izrazom, iskreno predanostjo in zvestobo tradiciji, je Rudi zaznamoval domačo glasbeno sceno in jo oplemenitil z večimi izdanimi albumi in številnimi skladbami, ki niso le zmagovale na festivalih, ampak še vedno ostajajo del njegovega pestrega repertoarja na koncertnih odrih.
