The same word-Boom-also sums up 81 best. the season ahead. After the top concerts of the magnificent anniversary season and the last years, marked by a steady growth in the number of subscribers and concert visitors, among which there are also a good number of young people, we are rightly enjoying it.
The bloom, however, marks not only the moment of exuberant fullness, but above all the process that leads to it. As in nature, in art it is necessary to sow the seed first, and then accompany it on the way from the first impulse of curiosity to a mature artistic experience. And like every flower already in the bud bears the outline of the future flower, every encounter with music carries the possibility of further inner growth: deepening listening, sharpening sensibility and developing mindfulness – a full and conscious existence in the moment, in timelessness. For decades, the concert branch has recognized one of its fundamental missions: to sow the seeds of a superior musical experience and to create the conditions in which this experience can grow, branch out and ultimately flourish, both with the audience and with the artists, and in the wider cultural space.
The new season also carries this thought in its artistic fabric. The programs offer a wealth of styles, aesthetics and performing poetics, with a special place occupied by promising young artists who bring to the stage the energy of the beginning, the freshness of the gaze and the boldness of interpretive risk. Who we will host and what masterpieces we will listen to, we will present to you in the company of the director of Narodni Dom Maribor, Vladimir Rukavina, together with the producer of the youth cycle, Tina Vihar, in May at 12. hours at Union Hall.
Kristof Hrastnik and Simon Steidl, members of the top Viennese percussion ensemble Louie's Cage Percussion, will also join us in the pre-balcony Hall, which will provide an exciting entry into this year's festival summer with the opening concert of the Lent 2026 Festival, The Symphonic stampede.
Under the large wall timeline of the Eighties of top concerts, the announcement of the upcoming ones will draw an even more accurate picture of the operation of the concert branch, which, as a good gardener, outlines its garden long before the first seed germinates, and then patiently and carefully cares for it until – heyday.

Ljubiteljice in ljubitelji glasbe, spremljevalke in spremljevalci glasbenega življenja v našem mestu, ozrite se skozi okna svojih pisarn. Opazite bujno cvetenje in brstenje povsod, kamor seže pogled? Razcvet je beseda, ki najlepše opiše mesec, v katerem vas že tradicionalno povabimo na druženje in vam predstavimo koncerte Orkestrskega, Komornega in Mladinskega cikla .
Ista beseda – razcvet – najbolje povzame tudi 81. sezono, ki je pred nami. Po vrhunskih koncertih veličastne jubilejne sezone ter zadnjih letih, zaznamovanih s stalno rastjo števila abonentov in koncertnih obiskovalcev, med katerimi je tudi lepo število mladih, si jo upravičeno privoščimo.
Razcvet pa ne označuje le trenutka bujne polnosti, temveč predvsem proces, ki do nje vodi. Kot v naravi je tudi v umetnosti najprej treba zasejati seme, nato pa ga spremljati na poti od prvega impulza radovednosti do zrelega umetniškega doživetja. In kot vsaka roža že v popku nosi obris prihodnjega cveta, nosi tudi vsako srečanje z glasbo možnost nadaljnje notranje rasti: poglabljanje poslušanja, ostrenje senzibilnosti in razvijanje čuječnosti – polnega in zavestnega bivanja v trenutku, v brezčasju. Koncertna poslovalnica že desetletja prav v tem prepoznava eno svojih temeljnih poslanstev: sejati seme vrhunske glasbene izkušnje in ustvarjati pogoje, v katerih lahko ta izkušnja raste, se razveja in naposled razcveti tako pri občinstvu kot pri umetnikih ter v širšem kulturnem prostoru.
Nova sezona to misel nosi tudi v svojem umetniškem tkivu. Programi ponujajo bogastvo stilov, estetik in izvajalskih poetik, pri čemer posebno mesto zavzemajo obetajoči mladi umetniki, ki na oder prinašajo energijo začetka, svežino pogleda in drznost interpretativnega tveganja. Koga vse bomo gostili in katerim mojstrovinam bomo prisluhnili, vam bodo predstavili vodja programa klasične glasbe Barbara Švrljuga Hergovich, producentka Mladinskega cikla Tina Vihar ter direktor Narodnega doma Maribor Vladimir Rukavina, predstavili 12. maja ob 12. uri v Dvorani Union.
V predbalkonski dvorani, ki ji je jubilejna sezona podarila osveženo podobo, se nam bosta pridružila tudi Krištof Hrastnik in Simon Steidl, člana vrhunske dunajske tolkalske zasedbe Louie’s Cage Percussion, ki bo z uvodnim koncertom Festivala Lent 2026 , Simfonični stampedo , poskrbela za navdušujoč vstop v letošnje festivalsko poletje.
Pod veliko stensko časovnico osemdesetih let vrhunskih koncertov bo napoved prihajajočih izrisala še natančnejšo sliko delovanja Koncertne poslovalnice, ki kot dober vrtnar svoj vrt začrta že dolgo, preden vzklije prvo seme, nato pa ga potrpežljivo in skrbno neguje vse do – razcveta.
