on Wednesday, 6. in August 2025, at 19. uri.
Dr. Marko Shtepec will give a lecture next to the luxuriously made glass bovla set, which in 1917 was paid to general Boroeva/, Commander of the Austro-Hungarian Isonzo army and is kept in our museum, and is currently on display.
Marko Shtepec, doctor of history and Museum saint is employed at the Museum of contemporary and contemporary history of Slovenia, where he is responsible for the collections and the curator for the period of the first World War. He has an extensive bibliography of published works on the problems of the first World War, among the most recent are the books: Life in the hinterland of the Isonzo battlefield (2024) and the latest stories of monuments of the first World War (2025). He is the author and co-author of numerous exhibitions on the topic of the first World War and history 20. century.
The lecture will be held in the gallery lobby. Admission is free.

Vojaki iz slovenskih nabornih območij in Svetozar Boroevič
v sredo, 6. avgusta 2025, ob 19. uri.
Ob razkošno izdelanem steklenem kompletu za bovlo, ki je bil leta 1917 poklonjen generalu Boroeviću, poveljniku Avstro-Ogrske Soške armade in ga hranimo v našem muzeju, trenutno pa je tudi razstavljen, bo predaval dr. Marko Štepec.
Marko Štepec, doktor zgodovine in muzejski svetnik je zaposlen v Muzeju novejše in sodobne zgodovine Slovenije, kjer je odgovoren za zbirke in kustodiat za obdobje prve svetovne vojne. O problematiki prve svetovne vojne ima obširno bibliografijo objavljenih del, med najnovejšimi sta izšli knjigi: Življenje v zaledju soškega bojišča (2024) in najnovejša Zgodbe spomenikov prve svetovne vojne (2025). Je avtor in soavtor številnih razstav na temo prve svetovne vojne in zgodovine 20. stoletja.
