The event will offer a comprehensive and strategic overview of the progress of Zasavje in the restructuring process under the just transition mechanism. The introductory part will present the starting points for the restructuring of the region – its industrial past, the closure of coal mines and the associated socio-economic consequences that the region faced after the abandonment of coal mining. The central part of the event will be focused on the present – fair transition projects in implementation, their dynamics of absorption of funds and concrete effects already perceived in the space will be presented. The final part of the event will be devoted to development guidelines after 2029 and the definition of key priorities and strategic projects for sustainable, innovative and resilient development of the region until 2050, among which, especially for our mining areas, the possibility of establishing conditions for the sustainable use of mine tunnels and associated infrastructure is important.

Dogodek bo ponudil celovit in strateškousmerjen pregled napredka Zasavja v procesu prestrukturiranja v okviru Mehanizma za pravični prehod. V uvodnem delu bodo predstavljena izhodišča za prestrukturiranje regije – njena industrijska preteklost, zapiranje premogovnikov ter s tem povezane socialno-ekonomske posledice, s katerimi se je regija soočala po opustitvi premogovništva. Osrednji del dogodka bo osredotočen na sedanjost – predstavljeni bodo projekti pravičnega prehoda v izvajanju, njihova dinamika črpanja sredstev ter konkretni učinki, ki se v prostoru že zaznavajo. Sklepni del dogodka bo namenjen razvojnim usmeritvam po letu 2029 ter opredelitvi ključnih prioritet in strateških projektov za trajnosten, inovativen in odporen razvoj regije do leta 2050, med katerimi je predvsem za naša rudarska območja pomembna tudi možnost vzpostavitve pogojev za trajnostno rabo rudniških rovov in pripadajoče infrastrukture.
