In the weeks of lifelong learning, the Izola City Library and the Charity Society Hope For The Children of Africa invite you to
TRAVEL LECTURE: THROUGH THE EYES OF AFRICA: BETWEEN GAMBIA, ZANZIBAR AND HUMANITARIAN WORK.
You are invited to a travel lecture and presentation of the Charity Society Hope For The Children of Africa, which is based in Izola.
The lecture, entitled Through the eyes of Africa, will take visitors through stories and personal experiences from the African continent – from everyday life and culture to the warmth of people, nature and the challenges faced by local communities.
President of the Association Petra Meznarc will present the activities of the association and the countries with which the association cooperates:
* Gambia
• and Zanzibar.
She will talk about:
* the life of local communities,
* humanitarian projects,
* helping children in school,
* opportunities for voluntary work,
* and about what the association is actively doing in Africa to improve the living conditions of children and families.
The event will also be an opportunity to talk about values:
* solidarity,
* understanding,
* humanitarianism,
* and intercultural integration.

Mestna knjižnica Izola in dobrodelno društvo Upanje za otroke Afrike vas v Tednih vseživljenjskega učenja vabita na
POTOPISNO PREDAVANJE: SKOZI OČI AFRIKE: MED GAMBIJO, ZANZIBARJEM IN HUMANITARNIM DELOM.
Vabljeni na potopisno predavanje in predstavitev dobrodelnega društva Upanje za otroke Afrike, ki ima svoj sedež v Izoli.
Predavanje z naslovom Skozi oči Afrike bo obiskovalce popeljalo skozi zgodbe in osebna doživetja z afriške celine – od vsakdanjega življenja in kulture do topline ljudi, narave in izzivov, s katerimi se srečujejo lokalne skupnosti.
Predsednica društva Petra Mežnarc bo predstavila delovanje društva ter države, s katerimi društvo sodeluje:
• Gambijo
• in Zanzibar.
Spregovorila bo o:
• življenju lokalnih skupnosti,
• humanitarnih projektih,
• pomoči otrokom pri šolanju,
• možnostih prostovoljnega dela,
• ter o tem, kaj društvo aktivno počne v Afriki za izboljšanje življenjskih pogojev otrok in družin.
Dogodek bo tudi priložnost za pogovor o vrednotah:

• razumevanja,
• humanitarnosti,
• in medkulturnega povezovanja.
