The guest group exhibition post-production: from the art collection of the Arts Sta articles festival in the large gallery of the Bozidar Jakac Gallery presents a selection of works from the extensive international art collection of the art Sta articles festival from Ptuj. In 2022, the Festival celebrated twenty years of continuous operation, and the exhibition was also presented in Ptuj in the summer.
The exhibition presents a distinctly international set of works by a wide variety of contemporary artists, connected by a pronounced spatial component, sound-visual associativity and semantic attachment to some fundamental postulates of the human species here and now. The exhibition will feature artists who have presented their works in the past two decades at the art Sta Forms Festival in Ptuj and whose works have been co-produced or donated to the art Sta forms art collection. The present exhibition represents the first public presentation of the collection, which is understood by the organizers as an opportunity and responsibility to analyze the work done so far through a cross-section and "post-production" of twenty years of activity and outline new guidelines for the development of the festival in the direction of continuity and even greater implementation of Art Sta tools in the offer/Image/life of the region and the local community.
Since 2003, the festival of Contemporary Art has been bringing to Ptuj and its surroundings top-quality production of domestic and international artists, from the most promising young artists to the great names of Contemporary Art. Art Sta articles is one of the most important contemporary art festivals in Slovenia and the wider region, as it has become a reference event for many international galleries, museums, foundations and artists.
The exhibition post-production: from the art collection of the Arts Sta Entertainments festival takes place as part of the exchange programmes of the network of historical cities of Slovenia and represents the cultural exchange between the cities of Ptuj and Kostanjevica na Krki. The second part of the exchange will bring to the gallery of the city of Ptuj an overview exhibition by Silvan Omerzu, which was on display in GBJ in 2020-2021.

Gostujoča skupinska razstava Postprodukcija: Iz likovne zbirke festivala Arts Stays v veliki galeriji Galerije Božidar Jakac na ogled postavlja izbor del iz obsežne mednarodne likovne zbirke festivala sodobne umetnosti Art Stays iz Ptuja. Festival je v letu 2022 praznoval dvajset let neprekinjenega delovanja, razstava pa je bila poleti predstavljena tudi na Ptuju.
Razstava predstavlja izrazito mednarodni nabor del najrazličnejših sodobnih umetnikov, ki jih povezujejo izrazita prostorska komponenta, zvočno-vizualna asociativnost in pomenska navezanost na nekatere temeljne postulate človeške vrste tukaj in zdaj. Na razstavi bodo sodelovali umetniki, ki so svoja dela v preteklih dveh desetletjih predstavili na festivalu Art Stays na Ptuju in čigar dela so bila koproducirana oziroma poklonjena v likovno zbirko Art Stays. Pričujoča razstava predstavlja prvo javno predstavitev zbirke, ki jo organizatorji razumejo kot priložnost in odgovornost, da s presekom in »postprodukcijo« dvajsetletnega delovanja analizirajo dosedanje delo in začrtajo nove smernice razvoja festivala v smeri kontinuitete in še večje implementacije Art Staysa v ponudbo/podobo/življenje regije in lokalne skupnosti.
Festival sodobne umetnosti Art Stays že od leta 2003 prinaša na Ptuj in v okolico vrhunsko produkcijo domačih in mednarodnih umetnikov, od najperspektivnejših mladih umetnikov do velikih imen sodobne umetnosti. Art Stays spada med najpomembnejše festivale sodobne umetnosti v Sloveniji in širši regiji, saj je postal referenčni dogodek za številne mednarodne galerije, muzeje, fundacije in umetnike.
Razstava Postprodukcija: Iz likovne zbirke festivala Arts Stays se odvija v sklopu izmenjave programov Mreže zgodovinskih mest Slovenije in predstavlja kulturno izmenjavo med mestoma Ptuj in Kostanjevica na Krki. Drugi del izmenjave bo v Galerijo mesta Ptuj prinesel Pregledno razstavo Silvana Omerzuja, ki je bila v GBJ na ogled leta 2020-2021.
