Story
Eleven-year-old Anni has a hard time moving from the city to the countryside. The parents have a lot of work to do, she has to look after her younger brother, and the new classmates are real scourges. Fortunately, there is also Lorenz in the class, who has horses at home. Anni finds that she gets along perfectly with them, perhaps even better than with people. He comes across an untamed pony horse, with whom he feels a magical connection. However, soon after, their friendship is threatened, as a few ruthless horse thieves go after the Pony's herd. Anne finds herself, new friends and her mission in the adventure.

Zgodba
Enajstletna Anni se ob selitvi iz mesta na podeželje težko znajde. Starša imata veliko dela, paziti mora mlajšega bratca, nove sošolke pa so prave nadloge. Še sreča, da je v razredu tudi Lorenz, ki ima doma konje. Anni ugotovi, da se z njimi odlično razume, morda celo bolje kot z ljudmi. Naleti na neukročenega konja Ponisrčka, s katerim čuti čarobno povezanost. Toda kmalu zatem je njuno prijateljstvo ogroženo, saj se nekaj neusmiljenih konjskih tatov loti Ponisrčkove črede. Anne v dogodivščini najde sebe, nove prijatelje in svoje poslanstvo.
