Ales Mustar returns with a new book of poems Nad Ruza, which thematizes the historical, social, political and cultural context of cemeteries. The poems talk about visits to cemeteries around the world, from Slovenia to ancient Egypt and today's Gaza, from Sri Lanka, Bali and Japan to the graves of giants of English literature, from military cemeteries in Skopje to the graves of victims of the war in the former Yugoslavia. Graves become meeting points between life and death, between the intimate and the Universal. In the collection, documentary and intimacy are intertwined with reflections on transience, pietism and religion, about which the lyrical subject speaks with lyrical restraint and a considerable amount of irony. Although its subject is Graves, the collection above the Ruin is primarily a book about life.
Poetry on the base is a cycle of poetry readings by selected authors and / or women authors in the living room of ludnica at Trubar's 51, who will also be invited to bring a vinyl record with them, which will create the soundtrack for their performance. They will be able to justify their choice in a relaxed conversation, but they will also be able to keep silent about it. If they do not have vinyl records for the base, they will be able to choose their base from the set of records that we have or we will choose the base for them without their participation, according to the principle of ‘I let myself be surprised’.
