Dr. Milos Kosec is an architect, assistant professor and researcher at the Faculty of architecture in Ljubljana. He works as a curator and publicist, and his reflections on architecture and space are regularly seen in contemporary media. In the book Enfilade: the life of an apartment, he takes us through his intimate memories of an apartment on Resljeva Street in Ljubljana.
The apartment, designed as a bourgeois enfilade (a series of rooms that open into each other), becomes the central hero of the narrative and the space of family stories, objects and destinies of the 30s. years of the last century onwards. With a subtle sense of architecture, the author takes us both through a personal and professional view of space, which is not just the backdrop of life, but its co-creator. The conversation, led by Simona Solina, will be an opportunity to reflect on the relationship between space, memory and identity and the importance of preserving cultural heritage.
