This year, the Ljubljana Castle is joining the Family Festival – Plecnik's day, which will take place for the third year in a row. You are invited to join us to explore the symbolic axis of Plecnik – from Ljubljana Castle to Tivoli (or vice versa).

At the Ljubljana castle , you will embark on an architectural exploration through the Plecnik challenge , and at the Plecnik bar you will also take part in the creative game building lego Architecture, prepared by the Museum of architecture and design (MAO).
Architectural research: the Plecnik challenge
Ljubljana Castle hides many stories! From a mighty fortress to an almost forgotten ruin, it is today the symbol and pride of the city. Together we will explore Plecnik's plans for the castle and Castle Hill, solve fun architectural challenges and finally meet the mayor of Hribar, who is preparing a special surprise for us!

In case of rain, the architectural research will take place in the inner rooms of the Ljubljana Castle.
Creative game: building lego Architecture
Join the creative game where we will build Plecnik's masterpieces from colorful LEGO bricks! We will walk along the Castle bars, catch views from the wall and look for inspiration. We will test shapes, Heights and strength and have fun with mini-builds. Welcome!
Implementation: Museum of architecture and design (MAO)
In case of bad weather, the creative game will take place in the Dragon's Lair at the Ljubljana Castle.

To arrive at the event, we recommend using the funicular, walking along the well-maintained footpaths leading to the Ljubljana Castle, or using the Urban electric train.

Pridružite se ustvarjalni igri, kjer bomo iz pisanih LEGO kock gradili Plečnikove mojstrovine! Sprehodili se bomo ob grajskih Šancah, lovili poglede z zidu ter iskali navdih. Preizkušali bomo oblike, višine in trdnost ter se ob mini gradnjah zabavali. Vabljeni!
