In the month of January, in the showcases of the creativity of the Izola city library, you can see an exhibition of old dolls entitled "find the child in yourself (revaluation of values)", prepared by ALENKA PRELC. The exhibition of dolls and rubber toys presents a personal collection, which the author has carefully preserved throughout her life. The collection includes rubber toys, some up to 66 years old, and dolls dressed in hand-crocheted dresses, most of which were made by her aunt, and she sewed them with the help of her mother. Also on display is her favorite girl from the third grade of elementary school, which she wanted when she first saw her at her neighbor's House and played with her. Along with this, paper napkins, which were very popular in her childhood, are also highlighted. As a child, she created houses from paper, since there were no such toys then. Later, she bought toys for her children that she herself wanted in childhood, creating authentic bonds, because children feel when their parents enjoy playing together, which strengthens their relationship. The exhibition reminds us of how early childhood and the objects we played with shape our creativity and life force.

V mesecu januarju si lahko v Vitrinah ustvarjalnosti Mestne knjižnice Izola ogledate razstavo starih punčk z naslovom »POIŠČI OTROKA V SEBI (PREVREDNOTENJE VREDNOT)«, ki jo je pripravila ALENKA PRELC. Razstava punčk in gumijastih igrač predstavlja osebno zbirko, ki jo je avtorica skrbno ohranjala skozi vse svoje življenje. Zbirka vključuje gumijaste igrače, nekatere stare tudi do 66 let, ter punčke, oblečene v ročno kvačkane oblekice, ki jih je večinoma izdelovala njena teta, ona pa jih je šivala s pomočjo svoje mame. Na razstavi je tudi njena najljubša punčka iz tretjega razreda osnovne šole, ki si jo je zaželela, ko jo je prvič videla pri sosedi in se z njo igrala. Ob tem so izpostavljene tudi papirnate serviete, ki so bile zelo priljubljene v njenem otroštvu. Kot otrok je iz papirja ustvarjala hiške, saj takrat ni bilo takšnih igrač. Kasneje je za svoje otroke kupovala igrače, ki si jih je sama želela v otroštvu, s tem pa ustvarila pristne vezi, saj otroci občutijo, ko starši uživajo v skupni igri, kar krepi njihov odnos. Razstava nas spomni na to, kako zgodnje otroštvo in predmeti, s katerimi smo se igrali, oblikujejo našo ustvarjalnost in življenjsko moč.
