The love of poetry did not bring fame to Restrepo. "The eternal dreamer", as he describes himself, over the years has completely succumbed to the cliche of the Damned poet – or as his more successful colleague puts it: he turned into a poem, and even rather sadly. When he meets a talented teenager from an impoverished background, and begins to help her develop her poetic potential, a ray of light shines into the life of the singer. But his insistence on introducing the girl to the capricious world of poets may not be the best idea …

Óscarju Restrepu ljubezen do poezije ni prinesla slave. »Večni sanjač«, kot se opiše sam, je z leti povsem podlegel klišeju prekletega pesnika – ali kot se izrazi njegov uspešnejši kolega: spremenil se je v pesem, in to še precej žalostno.
