The Austrian band NAPAEA demonstrates how intense, listenable and at the same time contemporary ethno-pop music can be. In the band we can listen to interesting instruments: guitar, bass, drums, bandoneon, oral accordion, violin and, of course, excellent vocalist Katharina Milchrahm, who writes the lyrics herself. The musicians perform indie folk music, with an admixture of Sailor songs and a touch of punk rock. Their down-to-earth and at the same time refreshing music tells stories of life, stories of home and vagrancy, of aging and parties in Irish pubs. Since the founding of the band in 2015, NAPAEA has played dozens of concerts at home and abroad, excited on radio channels and on the largest Austrian festival stages. The line-up was supported by musicians such as Tim Vantol, Animatallis Bird and PJ Bond. With their debut album, "from the CIT, into the Lake", the NAPAEA group created an ode to life and the tireless search for the unfathomable. Their new album, Museum of Broken Relationships, will be released shortly.
The concert was created in cooperation with the Austrian Cultural Forum from Ljubljana.

Avstrijska zasedba NAPAEA dokazuje, kako intenzivna, poslušljiva in hkrati sodobna je lahko etno-pop glasba. V zasedbi lahko prisluhnemo zanimivim inštrumentom: kitari, basu, bobnom, bandoneonu, ustni harmoniki, violini ter seveda odlični vokalistki Katharini Milchrahm, ki sama piše besedila. Glasbeniki izvajajo indie folk glasbo, s primesmi mornarskih pesmi in kančkom punk rocka. Njihova prizemljena in hkrati osvežujoča glasba pripoveduje zgodbe o življenju, zgodbe o domu in potepuštvu, o staranju in zabavah v irskih pubih. Od ustanovitve zasedbe leta 2015 je NAPAEA odigrala že na desetine koncertov doma in v tujini, navdušila na radijskih kanalih ter na največjih avstrijskih festivalskih odrih. Zasedbo so podprli glasbeniki, kot so Tim Vantol, Wallis Bird in PJ Bond. S svojim prvencem „From the City Into the Lake“ je skupina NAPAEA ustvarila odo življenju in neutrudnemu iskanju nedoumljivega. V kratkem bo izšel njihov novi album Museum of Broken Relationships.
Koncert je nastal v sodelovanju z Avstrijskim kulturnim forumom iz Ljubljane.
