At 70. on the anniversary of the birth of the painter Uros Koceli (1955-2023), we cordially invite you to visit the exhibition of his works entitled faces of Uros .
The exhibition will be open until 8. in August 2025.
Opening hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 10.00 to 17.00, Wednesday from 10.00 to 18.00, Friday from 10.00 to 16.00. Saturday, Sunday and holidays closed.
Admission is free.
Koceli grew up in a village. Creation fascinated him from an early age. After graduating from elementary school in Zalec, he continued his education at the secondary Woodworking School in Ljubljana and studied at the Biotechnical Faculty – woodworking. As a graduate engineer of woodwork, he first worked in the wood industry, and then began an independent entrepreneurial journey as a designer and furniture maker. He received his art education in various painting workshops. Painting at Uros was always only a short touch, in fact a break that should not be objected to the meaning and even less aesthetic pleasure; it was a strainer through which came the blessing for the soul, when he could think about himself, about others and about everything that he wanted in life.

The opening was on Thursday, 12. in June 2025, at 19. hours at Savin's Art Salon. It was led by Lydia Koceli.
The curator of the exhibition mag spoke about the author and his work. Alenka Domjan, and the event was enriched with a sensual performance by Uros ' son jasa Koceli and Matic Kiker.

Ob 70. obletnici rojstva slikarja Uroša Kocelija (1955–2023) vas vljudno vabimo na ogled razstave njegovih del z naslovom Uroševi obrazi .
Razstava bo na ogled do 8. avgusta 2025.
Odpiralni čas: ponedeljek, torek, četrtek od 10.00 do 17.00, sreda od 10.00 do 18.00, petek od 10.00 do 16.00. Sobota, nedelja in prazniki zaprto.

Uroš Koceli je odraščal v Žalcu. Ustvarjanje ga je navduševalo že od malih nog. Po končani osnovni šoli v Žalcu je nadaljeval šolanje na Srednji lesarski šoli v Ljubljani in študij na Biotehnični fakulteti – smer lesarstvo. Kot diplomirani inženir lesarstva je najprej delal v lesni industriji, nato pa začel samostojno podjetniško pot kot projektant in izdelovalec pohištva. Likovno se je izobraževal v različnih slikarskih delavnicah. Slikanje je bilo pri Urošu vedno le kratek dotik, pravzaprav oddih, ki mu ne gre ugovarjati pomena in še manj estetskega užitka; bilo je cedilo, skozi katerega je prihajal blagoslov za dušo, ko je lahko razmišljal o sebi, o drugih in o vsem tistem, česar si je v življenju želel.

Odprtje je bilo v četrtek, 12. junija 2025, ob 19. uri v Savinovem likovnem salonu Žalec. Vodila ga je Lidija Koceli.
O avtorju in njegovem delu je spregovorila kustosinja razstave mag. Alenka Domjan, dogodek pa sta s čutnim nastopom obogatila Urošev sin Jaša Koceli in Matic Kiker.
