The pliberk Cultural Centre further consolidates its profile as a cultural and social meeting point. As of February, the House will be enriched by Pizzeria Ristorante Etna with authentic Italian cuisine, thus further emphasizing the International and multilingual character of the Cultural Center in the Alpine-Adriatic region.
The restaurant is run by Carmelo and Simone Lombardo, caterers with Sicilian roots. Their cuisine means classic Italian specialties, top ingredients from Italy and preparation with great care and passion. At the forefront of the offer are pizza, pasta and selected meat and fish dishes.
For the president of the Cultural Center, Katja Mandl, the new lease agreement represents an important development impulse:
"With Pizzeria Ristorante Etna, we consciously strengthen the regional offer and create additional value for visitors to our house. Quality is our top priority-both culturally and gastronomically.«
The vice-president of the Cultural Centre Danilo Katz also emphasises the substantive dimension of the project:
"Cultural center means openness, meeting and Alpine-Adriatic mentality. Italian cuisine is located here not only culinary, but also cultural in an extremely convincing way. It makes our house even more international and strengthens its role as a lively meeting point for the region.«
At the same time, those responsible point to the very positive integrated development of the Cultural Centre: the growing number of visitors, the growing presence in the digital space and targeted investments in sustainability and infrastructure. The new catering offer is understood as a further consistent step along this path.
The opening of Pizzeria Ristorante Etna will take place on 6. 2. 2026. The pliberk Cultural Center is looking forward to this next development step and warmly welcomes its new tenants.

Kulturni dom Pliberk nadalje utrjuje svoj profil kot kulturno in družbeno stičišče. S februarjem bo hišo obogatila Pizzeria Ristorante Etna z avtentično italijansko kuhinjo ter s tem še dodatno poudarila mednarodni in večjezični značaj Kulturnega doma v alpsko-jadranskem prostoru.
Vodenje restavracije prevzemata Carmelo in Simone Lombardo, gostinca s sicilijanskimi koreninami. Njuna kuhinja pomeni klasične italijanske specialitete, vrhunske sestavine iz Italije ter pripravo z veliko skrbnostjo in strastjo. V ospredju ponudbe so pica, testenine ter izbrane mesne in ribje jedi.
Za predsednico Kulturnega doma, Katjo Mandl, nova najemna pogodba predstavlja pomemben razvojni impulz:
»S Pizzerio Ristorante Etna zavestno krepimo regionalno ponudbo in ustvarjamo dodatno vrednost za obiskovalke in obiskovalce naše hiše. Kakovost je pri tem naše najvišje vodilo – tako na kulturnem kot tudi na gastronomskem področju.«
