Marko Zorovi / for a decade now, Marko Zorovi has devoted himself to the motif of scavengers – those we meet every day, but rarely really notice. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts and design, he found himself at a crossroads in life: to become a painter, teacher, critic? The path took him to the Snago – dump for a year. From there, he took not only the experience of everyday work, but also the visual and symbolic material that still inspires him today.
Zorova's creation is recycling in the broadest sense: not only materials, but also painting traditions, compositional solutions and iconography. In Zorovi alum, garbage becomes carriers of meanings, visual stories and critical commentary on society. One man's trash is another man's treasure .

Marko Zorović se že desetletje posveča motivu smetarjev – tistih, ki jih vsak dan srečujemo, a jih redko zares opazimo. Po diplomi na Akademiji za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje se je znašel na življenjskem razpotju: postati slikar, učitelj, kritik? Pot ga je za leto dni zanesla na Snago – smetišče. Od tam ni odnesel le izkušenj vsakdanjega dela, temveč tudi vizualni in simbolni material, ki ga navdihuje še danes.
Zorovićevo ustvarjanje je reciklaža v najširšem pomenu: ne le materialov, temveč tudi slikarskih tradicij, kompozicijskih rešitev in ikonografije. Pri Zoroviću smeti postanejo nosilci pomenov, vizualnih zgodb in kritičnega komentarja družbe. Povsem v stilu angleškega pregovora: One man’s trash is another man’s treasure .
