Within the framework of the holiday of the municipality of Hrpelje-Kozina, we will go on an organized and guided hike along the contact karst between Matarski podolje and Brkini
ROUTE DESCRIPTION
First we will meet the Church of St. George. Martin with paintings by Tonet Kralj, who in 1943-44 boldly portrayed negative characters from biblical stories as fascist and Nazi, and in round reliefs of the way of the cross depicted the horror of war and the suffering of the Slovenian nation. Then we will go down along a circular path into the blind valley of the Fever, which was named after the temperature plant, to the Plum poniks. It also feeds the water catchment area for Slovenian Istria. Next, we will climb the karstic terraces with valleys to reach the village of Markovshchina by road. We will stop at the Renaissance Church of sv. St. Anthony of Padua, who has an Outdoor Altar on a rainwater collector. Back beams towards the starting point we will stop at the entrances to the Smokehouse cave. Since the restoration of the path is taking place in it, we will end our gathering with a walk along the Linden Avenue of Egidij Czech, planted on the occasion of the centenary of the discovery of the cave.
In total, it will consist of about six kilometers of unpretentious circular path, also suitable for families. Walking with stops and explanations will take two hours. Participants should be appropriately equipped: walking shoes, walking suit, desirable walking sticks, camera, water and, if necessary, some food in the backpack. In case of bad weather, the event is canceled.

V okviru praznika občine Hrpelje - Kozina se bomo organizirano in vodeno podali na pohod po stičnem krasu med Matarskim podoljem in Brkini
OPIS POTI
Najprej bomo spoznali cerkev sv. Martina s poslikavami Toneta Kralja, ki je v letih 1943–44 negativne like iz biblijskih zgodb drzno upodobil kot fašistične in nacistične ter v okroglih reliefih križevega pota prikazal grozoto vojne in trpljenje slovenskega naroda. Nato se bomo po krožni poti spustili v slepo dolino Mrzlice, ki je dobila ime po temperaturnem obratu, do Slivarskih ponikev. Od tod se tudi napaja vodovodno zajetje za Slovensko Istro. V nadaljevanju se bomo povzpeli po zakraselih terasah z dolinami, da bi po cesti dosegli vas Markovščina. Ustavili se bomo pri renesančni cerkvi sv. Antona Padovanskega, ki ima zunanji oltar na zbiralniku deževnice. Nazaj grede proti izhodišču se bomo ustavili pri vhodih v jamo Dimnice. Ker v njej poteka obnova poti bomo zaključili naše druženje s sprehodom po lipovem drevoredu Egidija Čeha, zasajenem ob stoletnici odkritja jame.
Skupno bo zneslo okrog šest kilometrov nezahtevne krožne poti, primerne tudi za družine. Hoja s postanki in razlagami bo trajala dve uri. Udeleženci naj bodo primerno opremljeni: pohodni čevlji, pohodna obleka, zaželene pohodne palice, fotoaparat, voda in po potrebi nekaj hrane v nahrbtniku. V primeru slabega vremena dogodek odpade.
