Rebel, justice fighter, postpunker and chansonnier. An unforgettable article of the Yugoslav new wave. The feature-length documentary film Praslovan tells The Story of Zoran Predin's youth in delavsko Maribor, the immense fame and popularity he achieved in Yugoslavia with the group hungry Franz and his noble solo career with numerous hits that have become classics of our popular music. His best-known songs in the film reflect significant social changes of the time, as well as personal turning points from his life. This intimate portrait not only shows the good times – the camera does not take its eyes off even when it gets dark, but keeps watching how all this also affects his friends and family.
The screening of the film is followed by a conversation with Zoran Predin.
We often don't really appreciate who we have, which is perhaps especially true of Predin's ’such a great crazy Maribor’. But when a galaxy of the most famous musical poets and masters of words, led by Balasheva, openly pay tribute to Predin and especially his proto-Slavic, there should be no doubt about his mastery. The incredible fact that he has recorded as many as forty albums in four decades of career only underlines this.

Celovečerni dokumentarni film Praslovan pripoveduje zgodbo o mladosti Zorana Predina v delavskem Mariboru, neizmerni slavi in priljubljenosti, ki jo je v Jugoslaviji dosegel s skupino Lačni Franz in njegovi žlahtni solistični karieri s številnimi uspešnicami, ki so postale klasike naše popularne glasbe. Njegove najbolj znane pesmi v filmu odsevajo pomembne družbene spremembe tega časa, pa tudi osebne prelomnice iz njegovega življenja. Ta intimni portret ne prikazuje samo dobrih časov – kamera ne umakne pogleda niti takrat, ko se stemni, ampak naprej opazuje, kako vse to vpliva tudi na njegove prijatelje in družino.
Projekciji filma sledi pogovor z Zoranom Predinom.
Velikokrat res ne znamo ceniti, koga imamo, kar morda še posebej velja za Predinov ’tak fejst nori Maribor’. A ko se plejada najbolj znamenitih glasbenih poetov in mojstrov besed, na čelu z Đorđem Balaševićem, odkrito pokloni Predinu in še posebej njegovemu Praslovanu, o njegovem mojstrstvu ne bi smelo biti več dvoma. Neverjeten podatek, da je v štirih desetletjih kariere posnel kar štirideset albumov, pa to le še podčrta.
