(UN)obedient 2025

We are here again without knowing exactly where we are going. But we know why.
Because the sound moves us, irritates us and socializes us.
(UN)obedient is a listening festival. And what happens when you listen to something you didn't expect. Music that resists uniqueness and sounds at the edges of the oceans (as Primoz Chuchnik says in one of his songs).
The team of percussionists and percussionists, led by Simon Klavzar in the composition Timber Michael Gordon, will launch lesovina into motion. Jazia-a trio of musicians Sal Aluca Jaradat, Sham Salloum and Ali Alhout – will discover Palestinian tradition. Burkhard Beins, ton / amp Elieh and Maurice Louca (Marmalsana) will strain the nerves with acoustic dialogue between drums, bass and guitar. The Italian double bass player Daniele Roccato will use microtonal nuances and spectral resonances, using flascholets, polyphony and various preparations to make a musical instrument sound like a voice that breathes, whispers, screams and tells. Belgian-Nigerian bassist Farida Amadou and Panamanian-American trumpeter a Amucuiles Navarro in repetitions and dynamic and unexpected movements can sound like a percussion resonator that hissingly explodes or dissolves in a subtle rustling. A Trio of Vesna Pisarović, Tony Bucka, and Noëla Akchotéja with the disassembly, alteration, and reconstruction of the song, he wondered, what was the song. In addition to the performances of the participants in the music workshop, the band Thuluth: Magda Ma Amacas, Ute Amacassermann and Raed Amacassin, which seeks tensions between silence and chaos, between acoustic sensitivity and electronic intensity. As every year, this year we expect: the most brilliant and exciting performers, the world's stars who perform in the most prestigious halls of the world, are currently even one of the best in the world, and in addition, some or all of them are one of the greatest living (we can probably also take into account the already deceased) composers who have recently filled the largest stages and are also completely victorious in general. Alas, and yet: the most revered, top, most advanced, legendary, masterful, majestic and extraordinary. In short, it will (Un) obediently take you on an unforgettable musical journey that you absolutely must not miss, hehehe.

(UN)obediently deals with the staging, development, reflection and dissemination of research practices in music and sound. A series of diverse events, meetings, presentations of publishing activities, implementation of international networks and discussions behind the bar address this diverse creative field in a multifaceted way. It (un)obediently brings together visiting musicians, interested domestic artists, the public and the professional public. As such, it is not only a festival of certain music, but also and above all an exercise of openness, cooperation and flexibility.
The Festival is a place of exchange, where various borderline musical practices intersect at concerts, workshops, lectures and other forms. He is artistically led by Tomaz Grom .
