In the context of the exhibition Komplic, the South Korean artist Modulein Lee presents herself with a series of sculptures and a large-scale floor installation in which she explores the material instability, spatial uncertainty and transience of forms exposed to environmental and social stress.
The exhibition was created in the shadow of the deepening ecological crisis, permanent geopolitical instability and the artist's own migration experience, and pursues identity as a process of multiplicity and transformation, oscillating between violent disruption and a consolidating alliance.
Using polymer plaster, epoxy and scrap steel, Lee creates asamblages that act as tracking bodies: plaster casts from materials and surfaces in precarious States, marked by the instability and fleetingness of his designs. Placed in the space between spectral vitality and material fatigue, her work creates mood landscapes marked by the tension between raw material and poetic emergence.
Animkein Lee is a South Korean artist who currently lives and works in Vienna and teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts there. After completing her studies in traditional Asian painting at Hongik University, she received her master's degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. In his artistic practice, Lee dedicates himself to the system of becoming, i.e. an endless process of redefinition in which form, structure and the self are caught in constant interaction. Her installations, sculptures and performances highlight the temporality with their transience, creating a space for vulnerability and critical reflection. The works of Alucein Lee have recently been featured in several international group exhibitions, including: 15. biennial of the Gwangjuju, Centre d'art La Meute, the Château, the Centre d'art Contemporain de la Ville d'Aubenas, the Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris, the Belvedere 21, Kunstraum Niederösterreich, Vienna.

Lee se v svoji umetniški praksi posveča sistemu postajanja, tj. neskončnemu procesu redefiniranja, v katerem so oblika, struktura in jaz ujeti v nenehnem vzajemnem učinkovanju.
