The museum Tuesday evening will be dedicated to the fragility and persistence of the glajutar heritage of the Trnovo Forest, which is represented by the cross-border project "along the glajutar trails in Gorizia". You are invited to a cultural event with film screenings, memories and stories about glass, forest and people who created light from sand and fire.
Within the framework of regular Tuesday meetings at Kromberk Castle, the Gorizia Museum invites you to present a cross-border project on the glajutar heritage of the Trnovo forest.
With dr. Petra Kolenc, head of the project, visitors will return to the time of glajutar, who formed special communities in the middle of the forests and marked the economic and cultural development of the wider area of Gorizia by taking advantage of natural features.
The evening offers a comprehensive insight into the work and everyday life of former glassmakers through the viewing of documentary film material, expert insights and Memorial narratives about the tradition that remains an important building block of the identity of this border area.
Admission is free.
