In the past, Mitja Koni is presented at numerous group exhibitions in Slovenia, but is currently more present and recognizable internationally. As a creator, living in M Thumnchen, he perceives his mission directly from the ritual of painting and creates beyond political divisions, consumerism, digital media and contemporary trends in visual art. It focuses on the philosophical and intellectual relationship between man, nature and things. He articulates his contemplative language with formal, semiotic and semantic elements, devoting most of his effort to his own typologies.
The exhibition in the former monastery church, dominated by monumental canvases, exposes the core of Koni Aktiveva's poetics. The central concept of his understanding of creativity is already defined in the title and is at the same time the leitmotif of some works. Konić indeed, the whole of what was happening between you and the screen, while avtorefleksijo and the outer reality perceived as a gain. The whole creative process from the idea through thinking to the choice or combination of materials is alchemy for him. The result is a picture as a stunning intersection of different worlds, or Koni OK's Intermediate World. In it, from the point of view of traditional, (post)modernist and contemporary painting, opposites merge. In the interweaving of the figural and the abstract, Koni's canvases combine drawing and painting elements, while revealing the counterpoint between creating the illusion of movement and feeling frozen. Individual works in detail flirt with past art periods, such as allusions to draperies by Renaissance masters or Baroque Angels.

Mitja Konić se je v preteklosti predstavil na številnih skupinskih razstavah po Sloveniji, vendar je trenutno bolj prisoten in prepoznaven v mednarodnem prostoru. Kot ustvarjalec, živeč v Münchnu, dojema svoje poslanstvo neposredno iz slikarskega rituala in ustvarja onstran političnih delitev, potrošništva, digitalnih medijev ter novodobnih trendov v vizualni umetnosti. Osredotoča se na filozofski in intelektualni odnos med človekom, naravo in stvarmi. Svojo kontemplativno govorico artikulira s formalnimi, semiotičnimi in pomenskimi elementi ter večino napora posveča sebi lastnim tipologijam.
Razstava v nekdanji samostanski cerkvi, kjer prevladujejo monumentalna platna, razgalja jedro Konićeve poetike. Osrednji pojem njegovega razumevanja ustvarjalnosti je tokrat definiran že v naslovu in je hkrati vodilni motiv nekaterih del. Konić namreč vso dogajanje med sabo in platnom, med avtorefleksijo in zunanjo stvarnostjo dojema kot usodo. Ves kreativni proces od ideje prek mišljenja do izbire oziroma kombinacije materialov je zanj alkimija. Rezultat je slika kot osupljivo presečišče različnih svetov oziroma Konićev vmesni svet. V njem se z vidika tradicionalnega, (post)modernističnega in sodobnega slikarstva stapljajo nasprotja. Konićeva platna v prepletu figuralnega in abstraktnega združujejo risarske in slikarske prvine, obenem pa razkrivajo kontrapunkt med ustvarjanjem iluzije gibanja in občutkom zamrznjenosti. Posamezna dela se v detajlih spogledujejo z minulimi umetnostnimi obdobji, kot so denimo aluzije na draperije renesančnih mojstrov ali na baročne angele.
