The project Art are Ghost Animatorkers was created as part of the Application Lab and Machine Learning for Artists at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and was presented on the 11th. in June 2025 on the premises of the school. The project was accompanied by a research work entitled 'Live are Ghost Animatorkers: Micro Animatork and Digital Resistance'.
The project is dedicated to all workers who solve online tasks with the aim of learning artificial intelligence or moderating digital spaces, often disguised as automated and self-contained. The project focuses on the Amazon Mechanical Turk platform, which has been exploiting workers for almost two decades and offering them miserable remuneration without serious intention to improve working conditions. Using machine learning and creative writing as a form of resistance, the art project follows the research contribution and combines social justice, artificial intelligence practices and artistic strategies. The interface, made with the help of Mediapipe, allows users to transform selected parts of the research text into a critical letter intended for Jeff Bezos, and then also send it.
The project was inspired by a 2014 campaign, in which workers wrote letters to Jeff Bezos, organized by the platform of the art are D Artnamo, which is no longer active today, but remains an important reference in exposing the mystification, fetishization and commercialization of artificial intelligence.

Projekt We are Ghost Workers je nastal v sklopu predmetov Application Lab in Machine Learning for Artists na Univerzi uporabne umetnosti na Dunaju in bil predstavljen 11. junija 2025 v prostorih šole. Ob projektu je nastalo tudi raziskovalno delo z naslovom We are Ghost Workers: Microwork and Digital Resistance.
Z uporabo strojnega učenja in kreativnega pisanja kot oblike odpora umetniški projekt sledi raziskovalnemu prispevku in združuje družbeno pravičnost, prakse umetne inteligence in umetniške strategije.
