You are kindly invited to the International bat night at Rihemberk Castle.
Did you know that there are also bats in the European capital of culture?
Saturday, 30. in August at 18.00 , we will traditionally pay tribute to these extremely useful and protected night aviators with a varied program. The composer Bostjan Perovsek interwoven their sounds and other sounds of nature with electronically generated sounds into the sound sculpture "Inaudible – audible, among bats". But how is this even possible if bat voices are inaudible to humans? How do bats orient themselves with the echoes of their vocalizations? How do they communicate with each other? All this and more will be answered by the artist Bostjan Perovsek and Dr. Klemen Koselj, a bat researcher.
Visit Rihemberk Castle, indulge in bat sounds, learn about their important role in nature and enjoy an evening full of experiences for all generations!

Klemen Koselj, raziskovalec netopirjev.
